(2/3) & doesn’t receive proper treatment or therapies, autism is usually blamed for ALL of it. When you aren’t actively working on treating the PTSD, families often feel autism is the main culprit, especially when they withhold trauma information from the child’s medical team.
(3/3) It’s also important to note AUTISTIC PEOPLE EXPERIENCE THE WORLD DIFFERENTLY & may develop PTSD from situations a neurotypical person wouldn’t. #ActuallyAutistic
