If I were a futurist/trend forecaster imagining life after #COVID19, I would be looking at the speedy end of physical money and most bricks and mortar retail outlets; death of cruise industry; consolidation of airlines;
Demand for automated doors and no-touch screens; staycations; a surge in detached houses and small town living; new uses for a glut of office and condo towers as home/work becomes normalized.
Big demand for patio furniture, backyard swings, quality coffee machines.
A boost for locally-made products so we aren’t so dependent on foreign suppliers.
When we are sick it will be understood that we have to stay home. Less nonsense demanding a doctor’s note after two days.
If more people continue to work from home, there will be less demand for dress shirts, fancy suits, expensive uncomfortable shoes.
