INDIA a nation, which is famous for Spirituality, history of having advance science and mysteries. Yeah! India is a very mysterious country which make this country even more interesting.

Today, I’m going to talk about one of the oldest mystery of India.

@LostTemple7
Its a mystery about a society named as “Nine Unknown Men.”

It was formed shortly after 226 BC by Emperor Ashoka. Grandson of the legendary Emperor, Chandragupta maurya, Ashoka was anxious to uphold his grandfather’s legacy and maintain the empire.

Ashoka’s vastly superior
forces are said to have killed over 100,000 of Kalinga’s warriors and deported over 150,000 of the region’s villagers. Even though he had won the war, Ashoka was aghast at the carnage such a victory entailed. From then on, he swore off violence forever.
The story goes that Emperor Asoka also realized at the time that humankind was apt to use intelligence, as well as to put scientific and technological knowledge to evil use for the purpose of destruction.

To protect the secrets n knowledge, he supposedly formed a secret society
tasked with keeping the accumulated knowledge which could be used for destruction safe from those who would misuse it, and to further pursue research and knowledge that would benefit mankind instead of destroy it.

It was Asoka’s desire that all new technology be hidden
away forever from those who could misuse it.

Thus was the Nine Unknown Men born.

Nine trusted disciples of science were chosen and each entrusted with a book containing all of mankind’s accumulated and ever growing knowledge in a certain field, which the holder of the book
would add to, revise and perfect, and this duty would be passed down to the select chosen throughout the ensuing centuries.

Only the Nine Men were allowed to study and develop scientific theories and technology. To better accomplish this daunting task, each of the nine was
charged with a specific book that he was to update, revise, and ultimately perfect the knowledge therein. When one of the nine could no longer complete the task – whether from the wish to retire, fading health, or death - the obligation was passed to a chosen successor.
The number of members in the society was always to be nine.

Thus the society of the Nine Unknown Men has allegedly lived on for over 2000 years.

finally an english writer, Talbot Mundy, wrote a series of books “ The nine unknown” in 1923 revealing the secrets of the society.
This contained a list of the nine books-

1. Propaganda : The first book dealt with techniques of propaganda & psychological warfare. “The most dangerous of all sciences is that of molding mass opinion, coz it would enable anyone to govern the whole world,” according to Mundy.
2. Physiology : The 2nd book discussed physiology and explains how to kill a person simply by touching him or her, known as the “the touch of death,” simply by the reversal of a nerve impulse. It is said that the martial art of Judo is a result of “leakages” from the 2nd book.
3. Microbiology: The 3rd volume focused on microbiology and biotechnology.
4. Alchemy The 4th dealt with alchemy and transmutation of metals. According to another legend, in times of severe drought, temples and religious relief organizations received large quantities of gold
from “a secret source.”
5. Communication : The fifth book contained a study of all means of communication, terrestrial and extraterrestrial. Alluding then that the Nine Unknown Men were aware of alien presence.

6. Gravity: The sixth book focused on the secrets of gravitation
and actual instructions on how to make the ancient Vedic Vimana, (like Vaiminika Shastra on aerospace technology).
7. Cosmogony: The seventh contained cosmogony and matters of the universe.
8. Light: The eighth dealt with light including the speed and how to use it as a weapon.
9. Sociology: The ninth and final book discussed sociology. It included rules for the evolution of societies and the means of foretelling their decline.” (Mundy paraphrased by Ancient Explorer)

One notable case of knowledge from the alleged nine books seeping out into the world
can be seen in the case of Pope Sylvester II, who was born as Gerbert d’Aurillac in 920 and was a Benedictine monk, a professor at the University of Rheims, the Archbishop of Ravenna, and Pope. Pope Sylvester II spent some time in Spain before taking a trip to India for unknown
reasons.

Upon his return, he was said to have brought with him a variety of knowledge that was well ahead of its time and which puzzled those around him.

Sylvester II claimed that it was merely a simple mechanical automaton akin to a primitive robot, but to those who saw it,
it was like magic. This was just one of the many astounding gadgets well ahead of their time. it has often been speculated that he gained this knowledge somehow from one of the books of the Nine Unknown Men. Unfortunately, we will never know how the talking head worked or indeed
whether it ever existed at all, because it was supposedly disassembled and destroyed when Sylvester II died, as were all of his other wondrous inventions.

Sylvester II is not the only one thought to have allegedly had some sort of contact with the Nine Unknown Men, and indeed
others throughout history have been said to have been privy to their information, or to perhaps even been members amongst them.

Some of the theorized names associated with gaining this secret knowledge are one of the most important figures in India’s space program, Vikram
Sarabhai, as well as Jagdish Chandra Bose, who is considered to be one of the pioneering forces behind the rise of science in India.

are the Nine Unknown Men real? Is this just a myth, with just enough historical reference to give it some facade of believability? Pure conspiracy
craziness based on what was meant to be pure fiction? Or are they really out there, entrusted with the most powerful knowledge mankind has ever seen, collected over thousands of years? If so, who are they, where are they now, and what is there ultimate plan? Will we ever truly
know the answer to these questions? We may never know if they really exist or not, and if they were out there they would undoubtedly hope to keep it that way.
