hii im bored so im gonna make a thread of games ive beaten/played this year and my opinion on them because yes! (making this my pinned as well)

1. persona 4 - pretty neat the murder mystery sorta felt underdeveloped tho.

2. persona 3 portable (girl edition) - this time i played the game as a girl and tbh the only improvement was the new social links that u get which are p good tbh overall game is still p fun and swag

3. corpse party - pretty good game some of the puzzles got tedious at time but overall the plot was pretty cool

4. kirby super star ultra - i stopped playing this like half way through but idk its fun ig??

5. chaos;head - really good game it does pretty good job of providing a pretty creepy atmosphere tbh

6. chaos;child - pretty good game it being more focused on being a murder mystery for the main half of it works really well ngl

7. fnaf world - neat distraction for like 20 minutes but after that it gets boring and repetitive

8. 999 - really good game with solid cast and very interesting lore

9. virtues last reward - not as good as 999 but the amount of different routes to take was pretty fun and interesting even if the puzzles were hard compared to 999 also it ending on a cliff hanger was sorta :/

10. witch's heart - really good game every character is developed really well and i just love them

11. corpse party: book of shadows - for a vn version of corpse party it was pretty neat though the later chapters about some of the minor characters felt boring at times idk

12. yume 2kki- havent actually finished this but idc for a yume nikki fangame its pretty cool and interesting

13. saya no uta - sorta underdeveloped but regardless it was a neat little thing

13. your turn to die - didnt actually expect the game to be so good like fuck is it good

14. va11halla kids - cute and fun game i wish it was longerrr though

15. mogeko castle - cool short game not much is rly explained in it but idc i still found it fun

16. wadanohara and the blue sea - pretty fun and cute game though i wish it had less parts where there was literally no music in the second half of it

17. ever17 - pretty good game with fun cast and mindblowing ending

18. never7 - pretty sweet game sorta wish it had more scifi stuff like ever17 did but whatever lol

19. remember11 - really good game with very interesting setting it sorta not really having a true ending (and basically leaving half of its mysteries unsolved or solved only through vague hints) is sorta disappointing buut other than that i still enjoy it for what it is

20. i/o - it was okay i guess but it really couldve been better written at certain points tbh

21. root double: before crime* after days xtend edition - really good game with rly well developed characters and the like

22. yu-no the girl that chants love at the edge of the world - take a shot for every time this game makes a joke like "who are you? a person" cause thats the only type of joke it ever makes
anyways besides that and a few other problems its okay for a game from 1996 haha

23. katawa shoujo - really good game with rly well developed characters and routes

24. rewrite - it sorta starts out slow if u dont like its type of humor and the first few routes could be considered meh but imo it gets really good by lucia's route and is overall just pretty interesting and fun in general

25. - little busters! - pretty good game though i wish some of the routes werent basically melodrama incarnate
also route ranking bc why not: refrain/rin > saya >komari > sasami > mio > kurugaya > kud >> kanata >>> haruka

26. muv-luv - extra is okay but i feel it wouldve been better if half the cast wasnt so stuck up
unlimited is pretty good though the setting is p captivating even if it doesnt really explain all that much but all the endings basically being cosmetic is dumb

27. muv-luv alternative - really good vn it made reading the previous two parts worth it imo and is overall a p good conclusion to da trilogy

28. - lucid 9: inciting incident - despite it basically only having the common route for it rn it still was pretty good and piqued my interest even if it was on the shorter side

29. tsukihime - sorta repetitive at certain points but i still enjoyed it alot

30. tsukihime plus+ disc - neat enough for literally like an hours worth of sidestories

31. kagetsu tohya - pretty fun sequel to tsukihime its pretty good and silly it doesnt really take itself too seriously alot of the time but due to how the whole thing is just the same day infinitely looping anyways it works well in spite of that
the side stories are neat too

32. planetarian ~the reverie of a little planet~ - this is like barely 2 hours long but its pretty sweet regardless

33. subahibi - based kino. anyways what i actually think of it is that the first half of it up till after insects is p enjoyable (for the most part) and the rest is well its good enough

34. the silver case - good game its obviously dated and the gameplay sucks but it still has a neat aesthetic

35. flower sun and rain - i got like halfway through this b4 realising that i dont wanna play it anymore as its mostly just repetitive fetch quests lol

36. the 25th ward: the silver case - starts out pretty good though halfway through it sorta starts to feel disorganised as the routes branch out into their own stories halfway through and also the gameplay while fancy still sucks

37-38. narcissu 1 & 2 - the first one is only like an hour long but its rlly good imo. the second one hmmm is good as well but it sorta feels weaker though thats probably cause its a prequel

39. cross†channel - its pretty good all of the characters are basically made out as bad ppl but i think that along with the premise works pretty well in terms of conveying the plot even if its sorta open ended imo

40. island - it was neat ig though i disliked how convoluted and confusing the plot ended up getting. if i had to pick a fav route at least then it'd probably be winter

41. harmonia - neat kinetic novel ig its sorta similar to other key vns where it tries to make u sad but whatever it was still enjoyable

42. misao - finally something that isnt a vn anyways its a neat little rpgmaker game

43. the house in fata morgana - it certainly was a the hosue in fata morgana anyways it was surprisingly pretty engaging despite me first being sorta uncertain on me liking it cause of the setting

44. raging loop - pretty good experience the first three routes basically being a battle of wits worked well to set up all the mysteries though sadly the obviously rushed ending route didnt do well to cleanly resolve them

45. clannad - i liked it though if i had to complain about something its that kotomis route fucking sucks and nagisa always acting like a 10 year old gets annoying fast

46. clannad side stories - this is just a bunch of drama cds in vn format but theyre still entertaining regardless so its fine

47. tomoyo after ~it's a wonderful life~ - pretty good its alot more fast paced than clannad was but it works pretty well as a sequel to tomoyo's route regardless

48. kimi to kanojo to kanojo no koi - pretty neat all the meta stuff actually works well enough as being a part of the plot instead of just being something like in ddlc where its just "ahaha did you know that youre playing a videogame o.O"

49. the fruit of grisaia - pretty good obviously started out slowly but it was an engaging read overall
if i had to rank the routes then itd probably be makina > amane > sachi > yumiko > michiru

50. fate/stay night - Based. Kino. anyways what i thought of it was that i enjoyed it alot so yeah
route ranking: heaven's feel > unlimited blade works > fate

51. fate/hollow ataraxia - pretty good the story is enjoyable and the sol parts can be pretty funny at parts too though ig they can get repetitive sometimes

52-53. higurashi when they cry (kai) - really good experience i had alot of fun reading it and trying to figure out the mysteries and seeing my theories be proven correct was pretty satisfying and overall i liked it alot

54-55. umineko when they cry (chiru) - really good vn i had plenty fun reading it though i sorta disliked how in the answer arcs they didnt really answer much lol under the guise of funny catbox but other than that it was great

56. ciconia when they cry phase 1 - pretty mid it overall fails at actually being interesting by introducing over 30 characters within like the first two hours and of which most dont do anything and i dont care about them at all lol

57. the labyrinth of grisaia - pretty cool the sidestories for the heroines as well as the main story of yuuji's past were fun to read overall

58. the eden of grisaia - pretty good conclusion to da trilogy it was pretty fun and exciting to read

59. the leisure/melody/afterglow of grisaia - didnt bother making a thread on any of these as theyre all just side stories that are like an hour or so long but overall they were pretty enjoyable regardless
if i had to rank them then melody > afterglow > leisure

60. summer pockets - pretty good it was surprisingly laidback for a key vn but overall i still enjoyed it
route ranking: alka > kamome > shiroha > pockets > ao > tsumugi

61. ib - this is pretty short but regardless it was neat

62. mad father - yet another rpgmaker horror game it using some of the assets from misao felt sorta cheap but regardless i liked it and the ending was neat

63. higurashi console arcs - pretty neat overall they were fun to read though some of the new characters as well as new music were sorta boring
if i had to rank the arcs then uhhh:
miotsukushi > kageboushi > tsukiotoshi > taraimawashi > tokihogushi > yoigoshi > sometsushi

64. hello charlotte - really good series of games overall from the art style to the story i enjoyed it alot :)
obligatory episode ranking: 3> 1> delirium= 2

65. 428 shibuya scramble - pretty good the whole mechanic of constantly switching between the 5 characters worked pretty well and along with it basically made up entirely out of real photos it made for a really engaging narrative

66. dies irae - pretty good i liked it alot it sorta got repetitive at points but overall it was pretty unique and had alot of good moments so yeah
