Bernie fam: we don& #39;t owe @TheDemocrats anything. We& #39;ve been gaslit & scapegoated by them & an accessory media in hopes of silencing our voices & ultimately manipulating us to fall in line. Nearly 80% of us voted for HRC in 2016, more than her supporters did for Obama in 2008. 1/x
Despite these statistics & Sanders& #39; selfless campaigning for HRC, we were blamed along with Sanders for HRC& #39;s 2016 loss. The DNC never mentioned HRC skipping key swing states, her pied piper strategy of elevating Trump, the electoral college, & HRC& #39;s overall weak candidacy. 2/x
The DNC is repeating this same failed strategy with Joe Biden. I canvassed for HRC in 2016. What people didn& #39;t like about her was her inauthenticity. #LyingBiden is even more of a liability than she was. We will lose with Biden & this Sisphyean cycle of abuse will continue. 3/x
We don& #39;t have to keep perpetuating this abusive relationship with the party. If we support Biden &/or any other corporate moderates simply out of harm reduction, we are legitimizing their manufactured narrative of imperialism, austerity, & deferment to corporate interests. 4/x
I used to believe that I could reform the party from within, be a gadfly of sorts. The DCCC blacklist, the party& #39;s regressive swing to the right, & its treatment of Sanders & his supporters have shown me that this is a futile effort. We aren& #39;t welcome by the Democratic Party. 5/x
While I will support Sanders for as long as he runs & if he captures the nomination (I encourage the rest of you to as well), I will commit one final act of loyalty to the party if Biden wins the nomination. I will take Biden& #39;s advice to vote for someone else. #DemExit2020 6/6
