All right, m'dudes.

I've been wanting to share something helpful for this weird stay-at-home time in everyone's lives.

Therefore, here's my list of awesome YouTube channels that are appropriate for grown-ass adults. Buckle up!

(A THREAD)
(2/14)
First, the food/cooking channels!

1. Bon Appetit.
A bunch of chefs in a New York test kitchen doing really cool food experiments and other fun food-related stuff.

Personal faves are anything with Claire Safftiz and/or Brad Leone.

2. Binging with Babish.
Andrew Rae makes food from movies, TV and video games - usually an "authentic" version followed by his improved version.

His baritone narration and self-deprecating humour top off his awesome cooking techniques and advice.

3. Grandpa Kitchen.
An elderly man in India cooks food over open fire for the children in his village. Grandpa passed away in 2019, but his family has continued his tradition.

Not instructional really, just quality ASMR-inducing audio. Calming.

Next, documentaries and education.

4. Defunctland.
An episodic channel with segments about all sorts of failed amusement parks and attractions, amongst special features on Disney, Jim Henson, and more.

(6/14)
5. Great Big Story.
Tons of bite-sized clips about all sorts of neat things happening all aroun the world. Great when you want a bit of a documentary that's less than 10 minutes.

(7/14)
6. Explore Documentary Films
Tons of documentaries, most about a half hour long, about topics spanning everything. Very well-filmed.

(8/14)
7. Explore - Live Animal Cams
Watch live cams of animals in their natural habitats as well as animal sanctuaries, livestock farms and animal rescue centres.

The individual channels are on Youtube, but they can all be accessed here: https://explore.org/livecams
(9/14)
Now for some nerdy stuff!

7. Critical Role
If you like D&D and haven't been living under a rock, you've probably heard of this. Voice actors play D&D together. It's been going on for awhile now, so there's months worth of content to watch.

8. Geek & Sundry
A long-running repository of videos featuring minor celebrities doing nerdy stuff. Tabletop games, board games, and more.

Some notable hosts: Wil Wheaton and Felicia Day.

And the "other" category.

9. Bob Ross.

He's on YouTube, with tons of free full-length episodes of The Joy of Painting. Happy Little Trees everywhere.

(12/14)
10. Mr. Bean

Full episodes of every Mr. Bean, FOR FREE, legally. Also includes his weird spin-off cartoon show.

(13/14)
11. Simone Giertz
Simone is my hero. I want to be Simone when I grow up. Watch her make shitty robots (her words), fulfill all sorts of ridiculous ideas, recover from a brain tumour, and oh yeah - build a pickup "Truckla" from a Tesla car.

That's it for now! I have more so feel free to ask haha, but these are some of my favourites that I feel a wider audience would appreciate.

Enjoy, and add your favourites in the replies!
