THREAD: On how I would want Arsenal to set up next season. This team, in the 2-3-5 Arteta has set up in the attacking/build up phase.
Saka. New #10. GM 35. Pepe. Hector
Tierney. New DM. Guendouzi.
New LCB. Saliba/Luiz

The balance in that team would be very good. Pepe would have an overlap and be closer to the goal. Saka can hold width on the left, thus creating a balanced forward line. Would need 3 new players to complete this team.
Profile wise, the new #10 should be a right footed player who can press and influence proceedings in the final third. Saka not a consistent goal scorer, yet, so this player must be able to score 7-10 goals in league play.
New DM is the most important piece imo. An athletic, sideline to sideline DM would allow both fullbacks to overlap in more spurts, thus, creating more numbers to break down deep blocks. Athletic DM cover massive distances to stop counter and allow more numbers in attack. Key.
New left footed LCB would be an upgraded version of Mari. Excellent distribution and better angles with a defender playing on their strong side.
Realistic players I think we should target for those positions:
#10: Nkunku
#6: Partey
LCB: Gabriel from Lille
Also, an athletic midfielder to compete with Guendouzi who is also right footed.
Maybe a new RB. Considering finances though, I think those are reachable targets.
