A thread of my working at home experience so you can mute it if you get tired of everyone tweeting things like this! Lunch on day 1: cheese on toast with ham, salami and mushrooms. Cherry tomatoes on the side.
Day 2: Most kinds of meat were sold out when I went pre-isolation shopping so I bought some tough cuts and bones and am making stock and soup today while working at my kitchen table, so I can keep an eye on that pressure cooker.
The fruits of my labour: chicken soup on the left, beef soup on the right. Canned and shelf stable for the next six months! Bring on the quarantine!!
I did leave the house today- I debated whether or not I should, but I had a therapy appointment and in the current situation that was actually very needed. I walked there and didnât get within 2 metres of anyone, including my therapist. But still it felt weird...
Day three: late breakfast with all the lovely things from the fridge that weâll have to ration over the coming weeks

Day 4... itâs Saturday, so I didnât work. Instead I used up some stuff in the fridge to prep goulash, mongolian beef, pulled pork, boeuf stroganoff and to cook risotto for dinner.
Day 5: bacon pancakes making bacon pancakes- took some bacon and put it in a pancake. Using @BingingWBabish âs pancake recipe which is delicious!
Day 6: I had a lot of broccoli left over and it was starting to wilt - yes apparently broccoli can wilt, the things you learn in quarantine. So I made broccoli wild garlic soup and mongolian beef with broccoli.
Day 7: bagels with smoked salmon, avocado and a poached egg - or as we also call it: peak millenial breakfast.
Damn I forgot to put siracha on the avocado for extra hipster points!
Full disclosure: both of these pictures were actually taken yesterday, though I am wearing the same pyjamas and morning jacket today... Iâm also not actually working in the first picture, but setting up Disney + ...
