So here's a thread of things that I would do, as I try to keep to myself and venture out as little as possible.
1. Book2.

Lol.
2. Guitar.

Been a sapna since I was a kid. Now I get to do it after all these years.
3. Writing.

It gives me some semblance of stability in this Heisenberg-ian world.

Even though most things I write are borrowed from others (sources, incidents, places), to me writing is therapeutic.

I don’t know (and often don’t care) what others think, I love what I write!
While I work on #book2, heres an attempt to find more writing work.

I MI am a published author, a blogger (active since 2004 and have written almost 2000 posts) and recently did a piece commissioned by @TheKenWeb.

I love building non-fiction, non-academic long-form narratives.
Would you know of (and can you connect me to) publishers or editors of websites / publications / ezines that are looking for writers?

I want to try opinion, columns, interviews (assuming they can be done remote) and other such things. As long as they’re non-fiction.
Alternatively, I’d love to lend an ear to other writers that need someone to...
jam with,
bounce off ideas against,
get feedback on early drafts,
rack brains,
etc etc.

Happy to collaborate and work alongside!
And last but not the least, I want to learn the art and craft of screenwriting.

If there are any production houses that need people to read scripts and share inputs on, I’d love to do it!

Each script I read (good or bad) will teach me how to become better at developing more.
Guess who ate a breakfast of > 2000 calories on his first attempt at #workingfromhome?
Saw . This is a movie begging to be made in Bollywood and it would sure be a 300-crore club movie.

Will need to have someone like Ranveer Kapoor and Govinda in it!

If I had the money, I would.

So, I have this #habit of taking a shower just before I leave home (to be able to reach office, meeting, etc as "fresh" as I could).

But I've become a Pavlovian Dog - every time I shower, I HAVE to step out.

Everything else is ok with #workFromHome but this one pattern! Grrrrr
I just can NOT be at home.
Can not.

Will need to find a way out. Maybe go out for limited hours every day. And then reduce those?

What do I do?

#help!!
So, whoever is at home and wants to #read a breezy, unputdownable crime fiction based on contemporary #Bollywood, please consider The Nidhi Kapoor Story ( http://www.tnks.in ).

Rated 3.5 across platforms.

Happy to send a pdf to anyone that may want it. For FREE.
#epiphany.

I feed off the energy of others. That’s why I love coffee shops ( @StarbucksIndia, @BlueTokaiCoffee) and coworking spaces a lot.

Almost everyone is hustling. And their hustle gives me the energy and motivation to do more.

I clearly have an external locus of control.
Benefits of self-isolation?

Realized that I have a fucking TV at home!

I've been watching stuff on a phone and a laptop, cursing the small screen last few days. Never realized that the other room has a 50" LED TV that is connected to the Internet!

A friend reminded me of it!
On the newly discovered television, I am seeing this film and fuck IT IS MY STORY!

I mean I would love to write a story like that.

And I would love to make a film like that.

And I would love to be a writer like that.

Fuck fuck fuck.
This is insane to another level.
@shikhajain104 pls see this film. We have to make stuff like this.

Deleted Instagram from phone.
Me. RN.
Ok done with this.

Logging out of here till 31 Mar. May be available on @altsg or @altsaurabh or none. Depends on my mood once I wake up tomorrow.

Be good. Be safe. And remember, this too shall pass.
Back. Did not last even one day.
Back to work (from home).
Back to grind.
Back to day-dreaming.
Back to doing.

#dukaanChaaloo.
So, since I've been holed up at home, I did see the Season 12 of @bigbangtheory and it was amazing to see Amy and Sheldon get that @NobelPrize.

Amy's acceptance speech encouraging young girls to take up science was brilliant. Sheldon's thanking his friends took the cake for me.
Also saw both seasons of @BadBloodSeries.

The first season was brilliant.

The second one dragged for a bit. Could've had sharper writing. There were some characters that could've been avoided altogether.

And to me, its not really a Mafia story, but the story of a Capo!
Learnt that in the galli next door, kids are still playing cricket in the middle of the road.
Learnt that Feta and non-stick are not friends. Even if you've put butter.
Learnt that you do not video call your friends when you are cooking. Or you can break your phones.
No cooking, cleaning, mopping, dusting, washing clothes etc would be done today.

It's the weekend and I will be a sloth!
Food has been ordered from Swiggy.

Netflix has been setup on the TV that I discovered I had when I got into lockdown.

Shower hasn't been taken.

No cats to pet though.
Film 1
Film 2: Kung Fu Panda Holiday.
Thing 3.

Ozark S3E1. Looked interesting but since I have not seen the previous ones, dunno about the plot or the story.
Back to this thread. Had lost track.

Today I learned that Mozarella cheese does not go well with a non-stick kadhai. I was trying to make cauli-risotto.
Thanks to @itsNiravMehta for sharing interesting things to read while on the lockdown.
