After @TheDemocrats and @TomPerez had the audacity to hold primaries today, when the @CDCgov already warned about the risk of large assemblies of people spreading the #coronavirus around, they deserve to lose in November for the countless people their arrogance will kill.
Every person who dies from #COVID19 in Florida, Arizona and Illinois can possibly thank @TheDemocrats for helping to spread the virus around. Unbelievably reckless and irresponsible, all in the efforts of the @DNC to help coronate @joebiden as their nominee.
A lot of Democrats I know are obsessed with removing Trump and worrying about the supreme court. If this is what we can expect from them in regards to handling a catastrophic pandemic like #COVID19, then how does that help us as a collective?
What good is beating Trump if the same crappy response to containing #covid19 by his administration would be the exact same one that @joebiden and his administration would use to handle a pandemic such as this one? That instills no confidence in his potential leadership.
And what good is removing Trump if, like him, @joebiden instigates tensions with China after we contain #COVID19 that will lead us to world war 3? How does that make him a batter person to be leading the country at this time? https://twitter.com/i/status/1239380796693045248
I'm not particularly crazy about @berniesanders. His campaign has made many mistakes along the way, from endorsing corrupt @nycmayor @billdeblasio, to failing on the critical issues of ending police brutality and reforming the criminal justice system.
But a @BernieSanders presidency is one that working people could work with. @Joebiden and his army of billionaires will ignore the needs of most Americans and pass Trump like policies that benefit the rich only. That's presuming he can even win in November.
The reality of the situation, as I have stressed before, is that most Americans can't rely on our failure of a government to advocate for their needs. If they want things like medicare for all badly enough, they have to disrupt and revolt. https://twitter.com/michaellatin/status/1237573021889466368?s=20
When the toll of #COVID19 is known to its fullest degree, it will openly expose the critical failures of our health care system and capitalism in general. @Joebiden is not prepared to radically upend this horrendous system, which is a losing strategy.
At the end of the day, as bad as things are going to get, we need to use this critical moment in world history, with a coming depression and an illegitimate election, to stop working, shut down the system and overthrow it. It's time for a new way of doing things.
I'm not that upset that the @dnc rigged their primary. That's to be expected. What troubles me is that the people who are angry about it aren't willing to shut down business as usual to send a message that such hackery is not acceptable in our society.
Students: stop paying your student loan debt. Home owners: quit paying your mortgage. Renters: stop paying rent. This system continues to operate because we all collectively contribute it. If we stopped paying up, it would melt down quickly.
The rich and powerful in our society are in a very vulnerable place. They didn't get to privatize social security, so the ones taking the losses with this recent tanking are primarily them. Most people don't have IRA's or 401k's. The rich are getting hammered, as they should.
See these recent turn of events as an opportunity, not as a moment to despair. They are weak. Together, working people collectively are strong. Use that power, and this moment, to stand up and fight back.
This thread has cost me followers, but I don't really care. I stand by everything I tweeted.
In light Bernie Sanders dropping out, I'm re-upping this thread again. Joe Biden will lose to Trump in November and the working class needs to find a way to fight for itself outside of electoral politics. These ideas will help.
