Stardew Valley Tips I wish I knew before I started my farm!
1. Save your mixed seeds. I used to throw mine away all the time, but mixed seeds are actually really useful. They can contain things needed to complete the community center in ONE YEAR.
2. Befriend villagers ASAP. Do the bulletin board quests and pay attention to birthdays for extra friendship hearts. They’ll send you gifts! Robin sends wood and stone, Gus sends meals, etc.
3. Check the beach and other foraging areas on Saturdays. All the items will have built up before the Sunday reset. Hoe the worms, and look for worms on rainy days especially!
4. Build at least two silos before you build barns and coops. This ensures you’ll have a lot of hay for the animals to last through winter. Silos require clay and copper, so hoe the ground and venture into the first few floors of the mines.
5. Invest in crops that have multiple harvests. Strawberries, cranberries, corn, eggplants, blueberries, and ancient fruit will get you the most bang for your buck.
6. Don’t forget about seed makers and recycling machines! They’re especially important when you’re broke. And recycling machines can produce important materials like cloth, coal, and ore.
7. Check the cart lady near the secret woods (she’s in the forest south of your farm and to the left of the big tree) every Friday and Sunday. Check Krobus ever Wednesday and Saturday. They have important items!
8. Try to make tappers as soon as you can. They give you resin and syrup which are needed to craft some items.
9. FUCK JOJA MART it’s community center gang around these parts! Nah but really you get good gifts doing the community center.
10. Chopping trees increases your foraging skill. Save your wood and stone!
