[Cats don't have 8 lifes]
[Krbk au]

Living his last life, Bakugo, a stray old cat, it's ready to die without nothing to miss, without anyone to miss. He doesn't care if he dies alone. One day he meets a stupid redhead, and feels like 7 lifes are not enough.

- My first long thread, yey! The summary does not look very appealing but I tried my best I swear it's gonna be interesting

- Reincarnation I guess
- Happy ending of course
Opening his eyes, stretching his paws and moving his ears Bakugou slowly starts to wake up. A few meters from him there is the hustle of the city.
People walking in front of his alley going God knows where. They talk, and yell and argue.
He is still tired, or maybe he is too old. Sleeping starts to feel too tiring, and waking up it's even worse. He wants to sleep more. Even forever.

Bakugou is a 12 year old stray cat. He has been living in the same street around 7 years.
But it's not like he misses something.

Before being an stray cat he has been a lot of things; in his first life he was the boss of the jungle, a lion, walking through an immense Savannah where he was the king, in his second life, maybe his favorite,
his home was the cold mountains of Central Asia, he lived hunting among white landscapes like a snow cheetah, in his third, however, he wasn't lucky since he was a cat that lived all his life in an animal shelter, waiting for something that never came,
there was he born and there he died, his fourth life was quicker than he had expected, he was run over as soon as he was born by a driver who did not even stop, the fifth one was better, he was a tiger, free to run among leafy trees, free to sleep among
the stars, in the sixth life he was a lynx, killed after a few years because of his skin.

And now, in his last life, in his seventh life, he was just a simple stray cat that no one will ever remember.

Ignored.

He lives in the same place,
in the same dirty alley of a busy city street. Everyone who passes by knows about the stories about him. About the old grumpy cat.

"Be careful when you are walking near that corner, there is a very aggressive cat who wouldn't think twice about attacking you"
say the passers-by.

Bakugou is quite proud of that result, he took it upon himself to earn that reputation. And he likes it.

No one comes close to him, just what he wanted. He doesn't need to have a dirty human mistreating him again.

And again.
That's how he had lived 7 years on the street, and that's how he is going to live.

That's how he is going to die.

But, perhaps fate had other ideas.

The previous day he fell asleep between cardboards. Without imagining that the next day he wouldn't wake up
in the same place.

There is no pavement under his feet that hurts him, there is no air, there is no cold, there is no noise from busy people.
Instead he is in an animal shelter, lying on top of a blanket, surrounded by more caged cats like him.
He understands where he is. But not why.

Some people had heard about the "King of the alley" and had called for help from the animal shelter to take care of him.
He soon got used to his new environment. Bakugou thought it didn't matter where he was,
he would earn his reputation again.

And so he did. Hardly two months had passed and the people at the shelter were sure that they were going to have to put him down.
Anyone who dared to enter the cage came out with some kind of wound on the body, petting him was imposible, he bit everything that approached him, and the three different families that had adopted him had returned the cat within a week at most.
So, yeah, there was no good future for an old cat like him if he didn't changed. And, oh boy, Bakugou didn't wanted to change.

The caretakers were concerned, but Bakugou couldn't care less, dying here, dying there, at the end of the day it was the same shit.
"What are we going to do with him?" Mina asked her co-worker.

"I don't know" said Sero "if things continue like this... We won't be able to keep him here for a long time. And it's a shame, a cat this old and cute does not deserve this"
There is a silence and Mina adds "They have hurt him a lot... the only thing we can hope for is for... like, a literal angel to help us with this"

Sero laughs "Yeah, sure. We are not that lucky"

Or, perhaps, they really are.
The next day when they opened the animal shelter the last thing they were expecting was the answer to all of his problems.

They weren't expecting the little miracle that the day before they had wished for.

In front of them was a young man with red hair,
about 19 years old, and as weird as it sounds he was asking for a certain "Bakugou? Ah... a yellowish cat? I would love to see him."

Both, Sero and Mina, were speechless. Is this man stupid? Crazy? Or maybe both? He definitely looked like both.
"Are you sure? We warn you, this cat it's not easy to treat" Mina said as she guided the man towards the animal, she was sure that the man wasn't serious, that maybe he was asking for another cat.

But she was wrong.
He simply smiles and nods, explaining that "I have heard about him, he is not the bad guy here. When they hurt you, you don't know who to trust."

Mina just shrugs without anything else to say and starts preparing the animal for his new owner. She just
hopes, this time, this man can give the cat his "happily ever after".
But she is still sceptical and she is convinced that this "Kirishima" was gonna be back tomorrow.
Or maybe in two days if she is optimistic.
But the next day he is not there.

Nor in two days.
Days pass by and there are not news about the man. About Kirisimas.

He does not return so, maybe, everything is going... well?

But the people in the shelter start to think about possibilities.

What could have happened?
So, they come out with the only valid option: Bakugou killed Kirishima and his corpse is on the floor of his house in a decomposed state.

It turns out, Kirishima it's not dead but his house it's a total mess.
Let's say Bakugou it's not doing well.
He scratches everything, bites, also, everything, spends most of his time under a table, doesn't eat if someone is in the same room, and at the slightlest chance he has he attacks Kirishima.

Or anyone.
But Kirishima it's not angry. Not at all.
Kirishima is always calm, he doesn't raise his hand, he doesn't scream, he doesn't hit him, he always maintains the same kind expression, that smile, and he always repeats "Don't worry buddy! Tomorrow is another day!"
And just like this, a week passes by, and two weeks, three weeks, one month, two, the same smile withe the same sweet voice and the same phrase with the same result from the cat.
But no matter what Bakugou did, Kirishima always had a kind face.
Bakugou, then, begins to think that, maybe, and just maybe, that man wasn't a bad person, that man seems different.

Maybe with him it's worth getting a little closer.
Progress is slow but Kirishima notices /everything/.
The first time Bakugou let him sit next to him, the first time he could pet his back, the first time Bakugou ate from his hand, the first time Kirishima was able to pick him up, play with him, hear a purr..
And the first time he woke up and Bakugou was sleeping next to him Kirishima thought he was gonna die from the cuteness.

So, yeah, the progress is slow. But it's there.
The redhead was always positive, he knows what it's to be hurt, and he knew that all the cat needed was time. Although it has been very hard, it was worth it.

Bakugou looked like a different cat, he played, he purred more and even let people pet him.
He was a new cat. Who could have said that such a cuddly cat was under layers and layers of aggressiveness.

And Bakugou begins to think that perhaps... not all humans are bad, sometimes they are hidden or have also suffered.
Bakugou thinks Kirishima is special, he thinks Kirishima is worth it the same way Kirishima thinks Bakugou is worth it.
And with that, Bakugou spends his last six years with him. In a warm home. Surrounded by good people.
But he is getting older. He can feel it.
His last day of life is confusing for him. There is a lot of noise around him, or at least he feels like there is noise, and Bakugou doesn't know what's happening.

Kirishima is sitting on the floor, specifically on the vet's floor,
holding Bakugou close to his heart, like a little treasure, while he moves his hand slowly behind his ears, and the cat purrs.

But Bakugou knows that something is wrong.

He is so tired.

Kirishima can continue talking with his calm and soft voice
that Bakugou is going to continue thinking that there is something wrong, something that it's not like the other days.

The redhead can't stop crying, and it doesn't matter how much Bakugou licks his cheeks, more tears come from his eyes.
Oh, then he realizes.

He is dying.
But for the first time in his life, /in his lifes/, he doesn't want to do it.
He knows that he is old, that his time is coming, but he wants to spend more days with him.

He wants to travel again by car, he wants to eat popcorn and tuna again,
he wants to sleep on the terrace and wake up in bed with Kirishima, he wants to take walks with him, he wants to catch butterflies again.

And again.
For the first time he doesn't want to die.

He wants to live.
Death appears, but Bakugou wants more time.

"I can't leave yet" he explains, more and more tired "I need more time. I- I want more time with him".
"You are tired," Death tries to reason "listen to me, just close your eyes and let me take care of you. It's your time to rest."

Yes, that's true. Yes, he was tired. But "I need more time with him"

Death is silent for a few seconds,
and he points and Bakugou " This was your last life," he calmly explains "there is nothing I can do. This is your seventh life."

Bakugou is stubborn and he is definitely not going to accept that. "I- it can't end here! I would give anything to spend more
more time with him! I mean- is there really nothing I can do? Anything you can do?"

Death is silent again, and that angers Bakugou even more.

"There is nothing I can do?!" He asks again.

"Yes there is something..." Death says, unsure "perhaps,
I can fulfill your wish. But if you come ba-"

"I don't care! I just want mor-"

Everything stops, and turns dark. Death is silent, Bakugou is silent too. Kirishima embraces the small feline body and cries again the lost of his friend.
"-if you come back it won't be like before." Death ends.
With a black cloak he wraps the cat's body and Kirishima is left

alone.

Death has nothing else to do there.

Its a rainy day.
Little rays of sunlight seep through the clouds but that doesn't take away the cold of the autumn season.

Bakugou runs through the street with a backpack being used as an umbrella. It's not raining too much but it's just enough to be annoying, at least for
the blonde who doesn't stop muttering insults.

He is in a hurry, he has to get to the shelter soon if he wants to be the first to offer his help.

It's not like it matters, but he has to be the first at everything, you know?, even at mundane things.
When Bakugou was about to open the shelter door there is hand already there and they touch for a brief moment.

The blonde looks up and his red eyes meet other pair of red eyes. Ruby eyes. They look odly familiar.
Both boys are silent, looking at each other, until is the redhead who laughs, and oh God, Bakugou has never heard such soft laugh, and speaks first.

"Hi! My name is Kirishima Eijiro." he says with such a gentle voice.
"I'm sorry but, do we know each other?" he asks, and suddenly Bakugou sees a hand in his direction, Kirishima asking without words for a shake of hands.
🍃☠️🍃☠️🍃☠️🍃
Bakugou Katsuki is a 24 year old man with a very bad memory.

Nobody knows what might could have happened to him to be so forgetful but anyways, it's not something that keeps him up at nights. He doesn't care at all.
He has a job in a cafeteria, he is happy.
Well, sometimes he has this really bad migraines from time to time but still, it's not like he is gonna die, right?
He doesn't remember many things from when he was young, but who cares about that when you have a boyfriend who takes care of you.
And Bakugou takes care of him too.

Kirishima Eijiro is the best thing that could have happened to him in his life. He is kind, he is funny, he is patient and generous. He is amazing.
They have lived together for 3 years now, but it feels like it's been more.
Sometimes Kirishima insist that "Bakugou you were like a godsend, you know? You showed up at the best moment in my life when I needed someone the most," he says, once again, so many times that Bakugou has already lost count.
"The day after my cat died, I think it was fate! That you were a gift to me. Can you imagine you were my cat? You even have the same name as him! And, also, Kat sounds so similar to "cat" " He is always joking about that.
"Besides, it took me a long time to get close to you! You were always so grumpy, as if you have been hurt a lot" He says with a fond smile.
It was true.

He was never an approachable person, although his bad attitude was never a problem for Kirishima.

Bakugou loves his boyfriend a lot, but he thinks all of that is stupid.
There is not such thing as destiny or reincarnation, as he likes to call it.
It's silly, and he knows it.

But sometimes he swears, at times, when they are both at home enjoying the warmth of a black blanket, and the night is dark, when you can hear the little drops of water hitting delicately the window from the living room
when the television fills the comfortable silence of the room, and Bakugou is lying on Kirishima's lap, as if he was born to be there, he looks up to look at him...

He has this odd feeling of having known him long time ago.
Of course, that's just nonsense.

Cats don't have 8 lifes.
This the end! I really hope you enjoyed this weird shit I did and please if there is any spelling error or something like that I'm sorry! 😂 I tried my best to correct them
