Does anyone have a genuine ghost experience?

So I know a crazy ghost experience. Like all good ghost stories, this is based on real events, but also like all good ghost stories it is for entertainment purposes and all real life resemblances are coincidental. The story begins about 45 years ago.+

+ a family had moved to a new flat in one of the reclaimed areas of Mumbai. It was a big thing then, as it is now, to be able to buy a place in Mumbai. Mumbai was also prettier, quieter and less polluted that time.+

+ The building was a new construction and the residents moving in were the first ones. the locality itself was in a way new. Everything was hunky dory for the first several weeks, and days passed uneventfully. Till something changed. +

+ the lady of the house started sensing a presence in the main room (hall/ living room) of the house. It was clearly a man. and he was just standing there looking sharply at all the people in the house.+

+ such presences are rarely seen head on. It is more like when you are in the room with someone and you can see them, sense them, from the corner of the eye, but when you turn to look directly, there is no one there.+

+ this went on for quite sometime. The impact was that people esp kids often felt uneasy in that room. but no one could put a finger on it. Finally, the lady mentioned it to her husband who dismissed it off as anxiety of moving in.+

+ Slowly the apparition started becoming clearer to her as the days passed. the lady could make out the shape of the man who was wearing a lungi, and had a muslim style jaali wala topi on his head. a beard as well. with piercing eyes. +

+ will continue in a bit. +

+ But what to do, no one was listening. So this sense of unease continued for a long time. Imagine being able to see a random apparition standing right in the middle of your hall, imagine going to the loo late night past this being. not knowing when he may escalate?+

+ so several days went by, till one day a happy coincidence occurred. A friend of the family was visiting to see the new house. This person was a highly spiritually advanced person, and even had senior members of the govt coming with their problems to her.+

+ She knew nothing of this, since the only person who could see this apparition was herself not being believed. As soon as she entered the house, ie crossed the threshold, this lady felt a 'dhakka', a sharp push. She was instantly alert due to this mishap.+

+ she walked inside the house and saw the entire place. but all the time her mind was lost due to what happened. What had attempted to push her out as she crossed the threshold?!+

+ she finally broached the topic with the couple staying there with their kids. The lady of the house finally found some confirmation of what she was seeing. but still could not vocalise it. How does one vocalise 'unease'?+

+ so this spiritual lady asked if she can meditate in a particular spot for a while. She was a elder to the couple, so the question of refusing did not arise at all. and a place was selected. and the lady went into a dhyaan.+

+ After a while, when the dhyaan subsided, the lady came into full worldly consciousness, she began to relate what is happening.

She said that this area before construction used to be a swamp. It was a prime spot for illegal bhattis, and all sorts of crimes.+

+ Many people who were murdered were also simply dumped in this area, and some of them are still around. The person in your house is also one of them.

She said she spoke to the muslim man and asked him why he is there. He had replied that this is his spot, and the building+

+ was constructed on his place. He will not bother anyone and they should not bother him.

The lady told him that she knows entities like him. They will say one thing and do another. This is a new household with young children, entities like him will not let them+

+ thrive. That as he grows in strength he will start to manipulate the people he comes in contact with. As such, it is unacceptable that he lives in this house. She ordered him on the back of her spiritual prowess to leave. He was unable to match her, and reluctantly agreed.+

+ After this, the lady asked the family to do a few generic poojas etc, and the rest of the visit was uneventful. But from that day, the no one in the house felt unease in that spot, nor did anyone see this entity ever again.

But the story doesnt end here...

+ The story picks up about 25-28 years after this initial incident.

It begins with an elderly man moving into the empty house that stood on the top of this flat we have been speaking about.+

+ The man was a successful professional who had worked with several global organisations, had since been widowed and now retired. He was looking to spend time in this flat because it was closer to his remaining family.

+ Ok so I have some time now, so can try and complete the story now.

So this gentleman moved into this flat. Interestingly this flat was also not used regularly. People have lived in there once in a while for a few weeks at most. But no regular residence. So in a way this+

+ person was also the first resident of this flat.

Now this person was a south Indian brahmin, very pious and reserved. very polished as well thanks to his extensive travel experience. He became very comfortable there.

Well...for some time anyway.

+ A few months in, he requested his relatives to bring him some chicken. He felt like having chicken that evening. Now he wasnt a strict vegetarian, but he hadnt eaten meat for ages esp given his advanced years. But it was not an out of the ordinary request by far.+

+ So his relatives cooked some chicken and dropped it off at this house. He presumably relished it, because soon after his food requests started becoming more and more frequent. Some days it was chicken, some days it was mutton. +

+ Slowly he started suggesting recipes and preparations as well. This was very odd, and his relatives started wondering what was going on. But some of them thought that he is very old, and in the twilight of his life he has some desires. So let us indulge him. Whats the harm?

+ I dont know what was the trigger to be honest, but at some point I think some one among his relations suspected something was wrong. That this was a different matter altogether. +

+ One of the relatives had a connection with someone in Chennai. That connection was an elderly man who had attained siddhi in srividya tantra. He was a very spiritual and a very helpful person.+

+ The phone call was made. He heard out the entire story. Went quiet for a while. All that could be heard on the phone was him breathing, slightly heavier than earlier. On this side they didnt know whether all was well or not? "hello?....Hello?....uncle are you there?"...+

+ after about a minute, but what probably felt longer...he came back online, with a assertion, simply: "It's that muslim fellow". He wants to enjoy these things, he cannot, so he is manipulating your relative to crave for these things, and then through his body, or even through+

+ the smell of these dishes, he is satisfying himself. Dont worry I will do something and send it to you with instructions. Wait for a few days. Till then keep giving whatever your relative asks for and dont mention this call to him.+

+ A few days later the letter arrived with a courier package containing some abhimantrit vibhooti.I dont know the detailed instructions, but the final step was to pour the vibhooti in pinches all across the society. This would create a parikrama that the apparition couldnt cross+

+ Note that till now the original family from whose house his entity had been ordered to go by the spiritual lady 45 years ago had no idea all this was going on. They had no reason to know. +

+ but now a random person cant come and do a parikrama of the building, right? So they got in touch with this family coincidentally. And related this entire story...to the same lady who could see this apparition 45 years ago in her hall! What are the chances!+

+ The lady instantly realised that when the entity was banished from her house, he simply went one floor up where he remained undiscovered since no one lived there for years. So she also told this story to the family. Everyone was shocked! Esp since the description matched!

+ Then on the appointed day, it was probably an amavasya 1 person from the newly bothered family, and this originally bothered lady, took the vibhooti and at midnight walked all around the building creating the parikrama, the dik-bandha as instructed. +

+ Now that entity is still there, it still exists on some tall tree in the compound of the building. It has been shut off from the main residing areas through thanks to that late night parikrama. Maybe it lies in wait for some unsuspecting soul to rest under that tree? Who knows.
