So remember that thread I did about Kollector? Now I'm gonna do for Ferra\\Torr. Another example of "good idea executed like shit." in the modern era.

So first off, concept-wise, they're based on Master Blaster from Mad Max 3. So the idea of a tag team fighter like the ice climbers in smash, except with 80s film influence is a good idea. The first problem lies in the characterization of both Ferra and Torr.

Ferra speaks like the fucking Hulk and has possibly the most purposefully grating voice I've heard of in recent years. While Torr speaks like the Hulk in issues where he can't form coherent thoughts. This immediately makes dooms them to be henchmen tier.

In MKX, they're classified as a new outworld race known as Symbiotes. Imo, they should both speak like normal, but also speak at the same time. I think that'd be creepy and shit. To imply that their minds are linked, and when one is hurt, the other feels the pain too.

Design-wise, they're another weight on MKX's dull fucking aesthetic. Way too much brown and muted colors. Almost TOO Mad Max for MK's own good.

In their concept art, Torr wore the jaws of an animal while Ferra wore the cap of the skull. I'm thinking maybe give Torr a full skull helmet, like this Ares design here. Keep his face shrouded in shadow like both pics here as well.

Ferra, on the other hand, is a design I fucking hate. She's supposed to be a child but shes got this bondage thing going on. I don't like it at all. And I LOATE those blades on the sides of her head.

Instead, give her this design on the far right. Its not as revealing and the human skull helmet could match with Torr's animal skull.

In fact, this idea of Torr being chained to Ferra is an interesting one, but it might be stepping on Moloch's toes a little.

Regarding their lore, I don't even know if it's good enough to keep at all. The whole generational thing with Torr dying and Ferra hulking out after becoming "of age" tethers them to only MKX. Torr is essentially fucked character-wise if so.

I don't even think Ferra should be a child, just a midget like Master. There was some fun little animation sketches for how Ferra would stay on top of Torr as he was fighting, incorporate that shit.
