While we& #39;re all cooped up inside I& #39;m going to tweet one photo I& #39;ve taken a day in case it& #39;s a fun distraction for anyone.
Here& #39;s a shot from Matsushima that I took in February 2019.

I take a lot of photos, mostly of nature or objects, so I& #39;ll be picking ones at a whim new or old and updating this thread in a similar way to the Forza thread: One continuous one.
Picture for today: Endless goldenrod flowers at an empty farm field in Potter County, PA during early September 2015
Screw it, maybe I& #39;ll share two a day. One morning and one evening. Birb chilling on some cactus, San Diego in summer 2010
It& #39;s Wednesday here now, so AM picture for the day for the late night and Asia-Pacific friends: A compilation of shots from the same overlook near Cherry Springs State Park, Pennsylvania taken between 2010-2012
Evening picture share for today: View from the window of a Buddhist temple in the ruins of Yarkhoto (or Jiaohe), an ancient city in Xinjiang. Taken in summer 2005. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jiaohe_ruins">https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jiao...
I& #39;m glad I was able to go in 2005 when:
a) I was still a student, so the PRC wouldn& #39;t be especially interested in me.
b) You could still semi-freely travel through Xinjiang.

We still had one of our student& #39;s hotel rooms tossed at one point because we did a small, very mildly worded survey about ethnic relations in Xinjiang. But it was a really enlightening study abroad trip in many ways.
Free Xinjiang, btw. I& #39;ll expect the phishing emails in the morning.
