Hello, as day four hits of social distancing and isolation and no sports, I’ve decided to start a thread of all the things I’ve done so I can feel like I’ve accomplished something even though I’m doing nothing. Follow along!
Day 1-4:
-made pie for pi day
-started Mulan puzzle
-forced people who hadn’t seen Toy Story 4 to watch it
-went for a walk, got judged by people driving by
-avoided human contact

Updates from home (California):
-my mom owns crocs
Day 4/5:
-watched Parent Trap to feel something again
-Reality set in I’m now alone
-Tom Brady announced he is bouncing from NE, which added some good comedic relief to isolation
-Thought maybe I was concussed after I accidentally hit my head, stay tuned bc probs not
Day 6:
-went for a neighborhood walk and was told I couldn’t pet two dogs I saw (bc of social distancing) so I may never leave the house again
-still haven’t finished the Mulan puzzle (she deserves better, she saved China!!)
Day 7:
-Forced to put on real pants bc I had to go into work (the NFL never sleeps)
-Lady at Whole Foods yelled at me for going into work
-A plus of going to work is that I have been stopped from eating everything in my house (for now)
Day 8:
-did virtual happy hour yoga w/mom but I was the only one drinking
-I’m tired of cooking

News from home:
-my father had a virtual happy hour with his coworkers and discussed engineering (how fun!)
Day 9:
-did a zoom dance class where I brought down the age average by 20 years
-finished the Mulan puzzle, an accomplishment we need in these trying times
-practiced good social distancing by wearing plastic gloves at the grocery store
Day 10:
-burned the heck out of my arm trying to make baked ziti (I really shouldn’t be left alone)
-did a blind taste test with Pringles (found I like pizza the best) and Bai drinks (all flavors subpar)
-watched a friends a cappella videos to feel something again (still don’t)
Day 11:
-it snowed today
-that is all
Day 12:
-danced virtually again (have not improved)
-remember last week when it was St.Patricks day?
-stocked up on the necessities aka alcohol
-highlight: made tacos 🌮🌮🌮
Day 13:
- @Karsen86 made chili I was scared to eat, but I tried it and I’m not dead yet
-went to cvs to get gauze for my burn wound and the checkout guy asked if I was doing arts and crafts
-made a 6in chocolate chip cookie, it was delish
TWO WEEKS:
-went emo bc it’s Opening Day and there’s no baseball
-spent time coming up with sick burns for my dad,the Dodgers fan, for when baseball does comeback
-lost track of what day it is
-watched Julie & Julia and now want to do the same w/ @chrissyteigen cookbooks
Day 15:
-I have resorted to yelling at TV shows like I used to yell at sporting events
-went on a ~social distancing~ hike
-watched The Rookie and felt sad about baseball again
-anyone know how I can watch Marley & Me so I can get a good cry in?
Day 16:
-Virtually danced w/my mother again (still refuse to have my camera on or let anyone see me dance)
-Ate pizza for two meals in a row
-Started wearing blankets as scarves. It’s called fashion.
-learned how to steal the Declaration of Independence from my couch
Day 17:
-took a neighborhood walk with coffee and my mom on FaceTime (training to be a pro power walker started today)
-drank a beer in the shower bc if that’s not self care idk what is
-watched Captain Marvel (I’ll never be that cool)
Day 18:
-opened the espn app again today, only to be disappointed
-tried to have coffee, spilled it all over myself and realized I’m the reason we can’t have nice things
-disinfected the whole house for the 30th time this week(its only Monday)
Day 19:
-it’s still March?
-remembered I joined a virtual Jane Austen book club so I should probs start reading
-final day of women’s history month (which I’m sure everyone forgot about)
-tomorrow is April Fools so don’t believe anything!
Day 20:
-well folks we made it to April and 20 days of no sports/isolation
-went to Stew Leonard’s to spark joy in my life
-started eating string cheese and chicken tenders bc I’m 10
-rewatching One Tree Hill to fill the void of sports and drama in my life
Day 21:
-if I had a gun to my head I still couldn’t complete one dance from virtual dance class
-made Rice Krispie treats to help pack on the quarantine-15
-finished the Yankee Stadium puzzle (just in time for opening day!)
-celebrated taco Thursday with my tricerataco holder
Day 22:
-almost done with my first Jane Austen book club book, Emma, scared I will forget it all by the time we virtually meet
-drank coffee for a meal
-ate all of my hummus in two days
-Netflix partied (a verb now) and watched sleepover
Day 23:
-did absolutely nothing but tear up puzzles I worked on for days
-why isn’t there a library for puzzles?
-watched the Last Song, was depressed about Miley and Liams broken relationship the whole movie
-watched Cuse win the 2003 national championship 🍊
Day 24:
-thought about rereading all the Harry Potter books but didn’t
-remained hungry after eating multiple snacks/meals
-broke a sweat changing my sheets (far too much activity for one day)
-contemplating becoming a pro race walker—if anyone has info on the sport hmu
Day 25:
-things are looking grim, instead of a neighborhood walk I ran, there was no reason to do this, just bored
-Hello Fresh delivered just to prove I am still awful at cooking
-Yesterday and today would have been championship nights for NCAA b-ball (RIP)
Day 26:
-today we mourn the loss of Schitt’s Creek
-that’s all I have the energy for today
Day 27:
-things we back to normal, went on a walk instead of a run
-relived the 1986 Masters even tho I didn’t live through it

Updates from home:
-my mother can’t finish a 1,000 piece puzzle
-also sounds like she is going to start making bread
-which is a bigger cry for help?
Day 28:
-“and we dance, and we cried, and we laughed and had a really, really, really good time”- Macklemore summing up virtual dancing
-started new puzzle

News from home:
-my mom found goats:
Day 29:
-ran again so thinks are not looking up
-went out into the world for food (a mistake, but did replenish my hummus supply)
-attempted to recreate Sol Food’s Pollo al Horno and all I have to say is: *chefs kiss*
ONE MONTH:
-had a large realization it has been 1 whole freaking month of no sports and it’s felt like 40 years
-cookie swapped w/ @emilyoswoman in the middle of the street (don’t worry no contact was made)
-finished a puzzle but a piece is missing so is it really finished?
Day 31:
-hoppy Easter, attended virtual church and drank coffee and ate rice cakes as communion
-had an Easter gathering to carbo load for doing no activity tomorrow
-ended the evening with my real religion: Bon Appetite videos
Day 32:
-plan on staying under my weighted blanket for the entirety of quarantine to reduce anxiety (hasn’t helped yet)
-despite my head telling me no, I started rereading Harry Potter without finishing my book club book first *shame, shame, shame*
Day 33:
-stooped to the lowest of quarantine lows today and made banana bread
-made tacos while wearing taco socks, only reason I know it’s a Tuesday
Day 34:
-went to the post office, wasn’t forced into small talk(which is how we should continue running errands after isolation)
-took more than two days to finish hummus (that’s on self control)
-had a shower beer for my mental health
Day 35:
-after a brief hiatus, virtual dancing is back
-painted my nails dark colors to match my mood and lack of soul
-reverted back to middle/elementary school self and joined the Disney sing along (really only here for HSM reunion and Beyoncé)
Day 36
-walked to get a green smoothie bc we all know that’s the only way I’m consuming vegetables rn
-watched the WNBA draft which lit up my life

News from home:
-my mother now uses pistachio nut milk in coffee?? When will we return to the simple times of almond milk?
Day 37:
-tried to power read to finish my book club book before tomorrow (didnt work)
-hosted virtual trivia night so you can just call me Alex Trebek from now on
Day 38:
-training for being a suburban mom is back on after my morning neighborhood walk with coffee and my mom on FaceTime
-kicked a ball around
-had first Jane Austen book club meeting (a success!)
-ended the evening with The Last Dance (quickest hours of quarantine so far)
Day 39:
-went on a walk for literally no reason
-cooked a burger and realized it has been weeks/months since having a burger which is weird
-tbh thought it was Tuesday
Day 40:
- @chelseaperetti music is the new theme to my life (I urge you all to listen)
-danced on the internets with my mother
-changed it up and make burrito bowl on taco Tuesday
-tried to do a cartwheel while watching 2008 Olympic gymnastics finals (def injured myself)
Day 41:
-ventured out to the stores on this glorious Earth Day and bought the essentials (aka every single Trader Joe’s snack and wine)
-successfully made skillet lasagna
-Netflix partied a movie that my mother described as “decent and awk but the setting was pretty”
Day 42:
-DRAFT DAY(mediocre film, important sports day)
-virtually danced then did an at home ab workout so I could eat 6 servings of lasagna
-ate two servings of lasagna and a large amount of hummus (not together, I’m not THAT weird)
Day 43:
-DRAFT DAY (2)
-when the highlight of my day was a doing a tiny bit of work you know isolation is hitting different
-started a new Star Wars puzzle
-made a tik tok (wild times)
-watched Emma w/Jane Austen book club (10/10 better then the Gwenth version)
