As inspired by @thegr8kiah I’m going to thread all the movies I’ve watched over the coronabreak.
I didn’t even finish Free Fire, it was really shitty. All things must pass was really good, and as Tower Reocrds was founded in Sacramento, I got an extra kick of hometown pride 🥰
I made a trip to @redbox on my first off day. I got @uncutgems because it’s fucking amazing and Adam Sandler is phenomenal. I finally got around to @bombshellmovie, it was alright, like not awful but definitely needed some help.
I started off day 2 with a light viewing of @winecountryfilm, in all honesty, it has too many stars. I watched Amélie with @itsgrace145 and loved it. The aesthetic, the language, the characters 🥺🥺
On day 3, I forced my dad to watch Titanic with me. Then I finally finished @jojorabbitmovie. I really didn’t expect too much, but it hit me in a different way. Definitely worth another watch in the future.
Day 6, I watched the bad news bears. It was honestly funny as hell plus the 70s fashion added a whole new layer of cool.
Day 8, we watched Rushmore. This is probably my second favorite Wes Anderson. It was just scene after scene of Jason Schwartzman at his absolute finest.
Day 12, we watched Every Which Way But Loose. I didn’t really expect much but I can say I did enjoy watching Clint Eastwood beat the shit out of some Nazis.
Day 15, we watched The Other Guys. I can’t really explain it, but it involved Will Ferrell, and I was therefore interested.
Also day 15, we watched Can You Ever Forgive Me? Starting Melissa McCarthy as famous literary forger, Lee Israel. This was definitely one of the greatest Oscar snubs of all time.
Day 16, we watched The Blues Brothers. I love this movie so much, it’s fucking hilarious and the musicals numbers are at simply amazing. 100/10
Day 18, I rewatched CMBYN. This is the first time I watched it by myself and I think it hit differently because of that.
Day 19, I rewatched Crazy Rich Asians. I’m not one for Romcoms but this one is definitely above the rest.
Day 20, I watched 1917. I wasn’t expecting much and it was kinda disappointing.
Also Day 20, we watched From Russia with Love. I loved this one, it is one of the best spy films for sure.
Day 21, we watched Oh, Hello: On Broadway. It stars @nickkroll and @mulaney, need I say more?
Day 22, we watched Moonlight. I have been meaning to watch it, and it definitely lives up to the hype. It also deserves a few more watches.
Day 23, we watched The Last Temptation of Christ. It wasn’t bad, but I am definitely confused and a little bored.
Day 24, I rewatched Lady Bird for like the 8th or 9th time, because why not.
Day 26, I rewatched Midsommar with my dad and sister. I still love it though this was my 6th viewing. They were very confused by the end, but enjoyed it.
Day 28, we watched Smokey and the Bandit. God dammit I love truck movies.
Day 30, we rewatched To Catch a Thief, one of my all time favs. Then we watch The Talented Mr. Ripley. I was definitely into it bc of young Jude law + young Matt Damon, plus the immaculate fashion. It was a thriller for sure.
damn this thread is getting too long. Since Day 30, I've seen Charade (1963), Honey Boy (2019), The Nice Guys (2016), Despicable Me (2010), My Life as a Zucchini (2016), and Dr. No (1962).
