10/28/2017: The Very Underrated Herb Miller ( @Herb_Miller21) lives up to his nickname with a crucial interception of future Dallas Cowboys QB Mike White at WKU. FAU scores 22 unanswered and wins 42-28 in one of the best wins under @Lane_Kiffin

9/1/2018: FAU’s opening day loss to Oklahoma is one to forget. But QB De’Andre Johnson returns after undergoing surgery for blood clots in his arm. @DredaDon14 leads FAU on a scoring drive on national TV. Even down big, Johnson makes some big plays with his legs.

9/13/2014: “MY GOODNESS!” FAU QB Quez Johnson ( @quezzzo12) throws a beautiful, perfect pass to WR William Dukes ( @CoachWillDukes), who goes 74 yards for the touchdown. FAU beats Tulsa 50-21 for the first victory in the Charlie Partridge era.

12/21/2019: FAU LB Rashad Smith ends his Owls tenure with a bang. 9/11/2015: Pressure? Jason Driskel doesn’t know what that is. Driskel hits FAU WR/TE Nate Terry for a big touchdown to pull within Miami at FAU Stadium. (This was also my first FAU game. What an awesome moment.) @JDriskel16

12/21/2007: FAU QB Rusty Smith hits running back Charles Pierre to open the scoring in the 2007 New Orleans Bowl. This connection is one of five touchdowns Smith throws in the win and is the first touchdown FAU ever has in a bowl game.

10/6/2007: In light of the news we’re unlikely to see FAU football for even longer, here’s another throwback to the old days. @KrisBartels blows through USF’s offensive line and wraps up RB Benjamin Williams for a TFL. TBT to ESPNU and its lack of what down it is.

10/6/2018: We’ve shouted out FAU’s offense and we’ve shouted out FAU’s defense. How about the special teams? With FAU clinging to a 26-21 lead over Old Dominion, Kerrith Whyte takes a kickoff 100 yards to the house. FAU wins 52-33 and moves to 3-3. @Kwhyte_6

9/10/2016: FAU’s Buddy Howell began his NFL career with the Miami Dolphins. Two years earlier, @GregoryCG8 gashed the Hurricanes for a 38-yard touchdown. A Coral Gables native, Howell averaged 4.8 yards per carry in two career games against Miami. Great block by Harrison Bryant.

9/9/2017: FAU QB Daniel Parr and WR DeAndre McNeal hook up for their second long touchdown in as many games. @DeAndreMcNeal3 goes 63 yards on the perfect pass from @ParrNation13 against No. 9 Wisconsin.

11/5/2011: FAU RB Alfred Morris has the moves! Morris takes a handoff 13 yards for the first of his two touchdowns in a 39-21 loss to Arkansas State. @FredoSauce finishes with 163 rushing yards, the third-highest single-game total in his Owls career.

10/28/17: “SIX FOR SINGLETARY!” FAU RB Devin Singletary sprints 60 yards downfield after a Herb Miller pick for his third TD of the day. WR Kalib Woods hauls in a two-point conversion to tie things at 28. FAU winds up winning 42-28 at WKU. @motorsingletary @BallBoy_Kalib

9/15/2012: FAU LB Adarius Glanton, now Adarius Taylor, picks off Georgia QB Christian LeMay for a 42-yard touchdown in Athens. Fun fact: FAU hasn’t had a pick-6 since Azeez Al-Shaair against FIU in 2016. @proowls

9/16/2017: Strange play in FAU’s 45-0 rout of Bethune-Cookman. Greg Joseph’s onside kick does a lot of bouncing before Owls pounce on it. @ParrNation13 takes advantage of and finds Harrison Bryant for Bryant’s first career TD to end drive. First win under Lane Kiffin

11/23/19: Welcome back, BJ Emmons. In his first game back from a broken ankle, Emmons goes 32 yards down the sideline for his first TD in an FAU uniform. With Marshall’s loss to Charlotte, FAU takes sole possession of first place in C-USA East with 40-26 victory. @LiltrillPhenom

12/7/19: There’s special teams weapons, and then there’s @TyrekTisdale. Tisdale blocks a punt, freshman linebacker Eddie Willliams scoops it up, and FAU opens the floodgates in the Conference USA title game against UAB.

10/26/19: A little over a year to the day after being hurt on a punt return, FAU WR Dante Cousart has a career-long 30-yard return in a rout of ODU. @DCousart opened last season as FAU’s starting slot receiver, too. Former Dwyer star. #PBCPreps

8/30/08: FAU TE Rob Housler catches a 20-yard touchdown from Rusty Smith at Texas. Now is when we cue the Twilight Zone theme. Over five years before I started even considering FAU as a college choice, my dad and my stepmom were randomly at this game while on a business trip.

9/11/2015: FAU RB Jay Warren caps off an 11-play, 85-yard touchdown drive with a 9-yard score to tie UM at 17 all. As @RyguyMoran pointed out, this might be the loudest FAU Stadium has ever been. Also, Jay Warren is an underrated Owl. Put some respect on his name.

9/8/2018: Welcome to FAU, Chris Robison. The Oklahoma transfer’s first touchdown in an Owls uniform is a 17-yard strike to Willie Wright against Air Force. @OfficialChris_R shows how bright his FAU future is with a school-record 471 passing yards and 3 TDs. @_Bigdawg05

11/02/19: James Pierre saves FAU’s bacon. After WKU takes a blocked FG to midfield, @TuneLight1 picks off WKU’s Ty Storey and puts the momentum back in FAU’s hands. FAU hangs on to win 35-24 and jump right back in the C-USA East race. Pierre has two picks in the road win.

10/1/2016: FAU RB Devin Singletary’s first career touchdown is a 1-yard run against FIU. @motorsingletary only ran for another 65 touchdowns after this one and just enjoyed an excellent rookie season with the Buffalo Bills. (Bring back red helmets with stormtrooper unis, please)

12/13/16: Some naive, young reporter who skipped most of his final exam to attend a press conference asks new FAU head coach @Lane_Kiffin about sending a message to the rest of Conference USA. Kiffin’s first FAU practice was three years ago today.

9/10/16: It’s a Miami homecoming for FAU DB Andrew Soroh. @1DrewMajor picks off future Detroit Lions QB Brad Kaaya at Hard Rock Stadium. It’s the first career pick for Soroh, who played high school at Miami-American.

9/28/2019: When you set records, you have to start somewhere. Meiko Dotson’s first pick in an FAU uniform is a key end zone snag against Charlotte. It’s the first of two picks for @MeikoDotsonJr in a road win against the 49ers. Dotson ends the 2019 season with nine picks.

10/21/17: The longest touchdown run in FAU history belongs to Kerrith Whyte after his 82-yard sprint against North Texas. Great insight by @FrankJForte and the legendary Fred O’Connor after this play. We may see @Kwhyte_6 do this often in the pros.

12/13/2003: From the longest rushing touchdown in FAU program history to one of the shortest. Doug Parker takes a pitch for a 1-yard score in FAU’s Division I-AA playoff loss to Colgate. It’s the first playoff touchdown in FAU history.

11/2/19: FAU doesn’t win a conference title last year without @AkileisLeroy. Trailing 14-0 at WKU, the junior sacks Ty Storey, forces a fumble, and Chris Tooley takes it to the end zone for a crucial FAU TD. Love that hit by Keke. @Tooleeey_1

9/1/17: And speaking of electric receivers who wore No. 1, how about Willie Wright’s first career TD at FAU? The longest play in FAU history comes in Wright’s FAU debut on a perfect strike from Daniel Parr. Even the cameras were fooled! @_Bigdawg05 @ParrNation13

10/20/18: FAU’s lone touchdown against Marshall is a goal-line snag by Harrison Bryant. Bryant ends the year on Conference USA’s all-first team and opts to return for his senior year, which turns out to be a historic one. @hbryant17

9/16/17: “THERE GOES HOWELL!” After a record-breaking 2016 season, FAU RB Buddy Howell takes advantage of playing Bethune-Cookman. @GregoryCG8 runs for a career-high 175 yards and a touchdown on 13 carries. He was unstoppable this game. Owls win 45-0.

9/21/19: It’s Tronti Time in Boca Raton. FAU QB Nick Tronti dazzles on a drive against Wagner and ends it with his first college touchdown. @nickyt616 calls himself a big Tim Tebow fan. He certainly ran like Tebow on this drive. FAU routs Wagner 42-7.

9/11/2015: Have fun stopping FAU DT Trevon Coley. @TrevonColey blows through UM’s offensive line and sacks Canes QB Brad Kaaya. Listen to that crowd. Coley finishes his senior year with six sacks.

10/7/17: Old Dominion may have been No. 1 in fewest penalties, but they were dead last in stopping Jason Driskel. Driskel sprits through ODU’s defense for the first of his four rushing touchdowns. FAU routs ODU and moves to 3-3. @JDriskel16

11/9/2019: FAU WR Deangelo Antoine’s best friend on this play is his hands. The grad transfer bobbles a catch against FIU. Plays like this help turn the momentum fully in FAU’s favor and the Owls rout FIU 37-7. @mrhondal321 :) @kingdelo_4life

11/25/17: FAU WR Kamrin Solomon may have been the Owls’ best receiver in spring camp. After missing the season’s first two games, he picked up right where he left off. @SoloChamberlain turns a great throw from Jason Driskel into his first touchdown of the year. Owls win again.

11/24/18: FAU TE John Raine turns 22 today. His first touchdown went for 23 yards. Why can’t you be a 1997 product, @jraine305? Here’s Raine’s first career TD against Charlotte to end the 2018 season.

10/18/14: I usually try to use the broadcast clips, but c’mon. FAU RB Buddy Howell’s first career touchdown in his first career game against rival WKU deserves the cinematic highlights. Let @GregoryCG8 and @KLV1063 tell the story. Happy birthday, Buddy!
