Quarantined Movie Thread:

We start with National Treasure 2, a classic.

Benjamin Gates is that dude.
No. 2: Casino Royale (2006)

Daniel Craig is a great James Bond.
No. 3: Now You See Me

Maybe during the quarantine I’ll get this good at magic.
No. 4: Semi-Pro

Without sports, it was refreshing to see such high-quality basketball. I'd really started to miss it.
No. 5: Rookie of the Year

I miss baseball so much.
No. 6: The Parent Trap

Can we talk about how Hallie flew to London and managed to use her sister's passport?
No. 7: The Day After Tomorrow

One of my favorite movies of all time. Also...watching this right now...it's eerie how similar/relatable this is to what's happening in the real world if you substitute a pandemic for an ice age.
No. 8: Dodgeball

Are you ready? Are you sitting down?

No. 9: What About Bob?

One of my favorite Bill Murray movies. Baby steps through this quarantine everyone!
No. 10: The Other Guys

What a whirlwind. Now I'm going to have "Waterfalls" stuck in my head.
No. 11: She's Out of My League

Some may say that's @lizzymarie_b.
No. 12: Rounders

First time watching, and it's immediately close to the top of my list of favorite movies.

I wanted to learn poker during the quarantine...that might have just sped things up. Fantastic film.
No. 13: Quantum of Solace

Daniel Craig is a phenomenal James Bond.
No. 14: 10 Things I Hate About You

What a cast here...Heath Ledger, Julia Stiles, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and Gabrielle Union among others. Didn't disappoint.
No. 15: 21

This movie is too good for just a GIF. It’s about blackjack, but this might be the best scene.
No. 16: The Social Network

Just released on Netflix. Hadn't seen it before, thought Eisenberg did a fantastic job as Zuckerberg. So much I didn't know about Facebook.
No. 17: Ferris Bueller's Day Off

You're telling me he accomplished all of that in one day? What I would give to be able to go outside and do even one of those activities right now.
No. 18: The Hangover

A Vegas bachelor party the weekend of your wedding seems like the perfect play. What could possibly happen?
No. 19: Goodfellas

Just bonkers that this is based on true events, and that it's incredibly accurate too. Thrilling! And oh by the way, great pizza @GoodfellasPie.
No. 20: The Princess Diaries

As far as I can tell, there's no coronavirus in Genovia. Maybe it's worth looking to try and move there. Are sports happening there?
No. 21: Team America: World Police

@TFON13's suggestion. No comment.
No. 22: Molly's Game

Tobey Maguire, Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, Leo DiCaprio, and A-Rod were all (supposedly) in on this poker game in real life.

Talk about a cast of characters...to be a fly on the wall.
No. 23: Space Jam

Somehow...that's the first time I've ever watched it. Lived up to the hype! Soundtrack was next level. A lot of contact and not too many fouls called, had to play through the elements and earn that one.

Also, didn't even watch it as number 23 on purpose.
No. 24: American Pie

Realizing Kevin is also Henry Rowengartner was quite the revelation.

First time watching all the way through. Quarantine has really let me catch up on things. 11 of the 24 movies are first-timers.

Batman trilogy on deck, never seen those either.
No. 25: Inglourious Basterds

Brad Pitt turned in a masterpiece here. I'm not sure how I missed that one until now.
No. 26: Rambo: Last Blood

John Rambo is probably the last guy on Earth I would want to upset. He's also my first pick on who I'd want next to me in a war.
No. 27: Mississippi Grind

Kind of a grind of a movie, but a wild last 17 minutes.
No. 28: Extraction

If you like constant action like I do, this movie's for you. High pace, high intensity.
No. 29: Ice Age

Wanna feel old? This movie came out 18 years ago. 2002. Eighteen years!
No. 30: Holes

So many similarities to Shawshank.

Main character is wrongly convicted, bad warden looking to build wealth, teaching someone how to read, on and on.

And a great soundtrack! Another Disney classic.
No. 31: Battle Los Angeles

Why did the aliens show up? What did they want? Who knows.

What I do know is that I'd follow Staff Sergeant Nantz into battle.
No. 32: Secretariat

Had to watch it for Derby Day! The greatest horse to ever live.

The movie never gets old. The shot coming around the final turn is spectacular.
No. 33: Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker

Felt like I was watching Harry Potter mixed with a remake of Return of the Jedi. Maybe not a *bad* movie, just not...original, I guess.
No. 34: Call of the Wild (2020)

A fun spin on the old classic. Harrison Ford is a nice addition in here too.
No. 35: Batman Begins

Finally got around to this, and really enjoyed it. It's about time I figured out what everyone's always talked about.

I've heard from @JonRothstein that The Dark Knight is a masterpiece, so I'm looking forward to that one next.
No. 36: The Dark Knight

Definitely lived up to the hype. Just a spectacular movie from start to finish.
