The excess mortality in Europe (link) is currently lower than during the last 'influenza season'. Are we sure that actually #SARSCoV2 is spreading extremely fast, not rather the number of people who are tested?

If we tested as aggressively on #Influenza as we do on #SARSCoV2 we would find millions of infected and hundreds of thousands of deceased who (also) are infected with Influenza, and the more people we would test the higher would both numbers get.

In Switzerland the mortality currently is 0.6%. If we assume that the estimated number of undetected cases is ten times higher, it is 0.06% (Influenza: Ca. 0.1%). Hmmm...

The only hard data available are the excess mortality.
In Europe at end of week 12 it is still extremely low in all countries except for Italy where it is comparable to other flu seasons!
