Revisiting The Dagger of Kamui after six years. Not sure the whole film works but it sure has some visionary stuff in it.

Not sure the rock-music training montage containing this shot is visionary but it's definitely outrageous in a good way.

Possibly my favourite thing in the film: the brief, hallucinatory clash with Oyuki.

This guy's sleeves are also very good.

Finally, there is one bitter closing note to the film which works very well.

It was good to watch some anime again. I haven't been managing it much lately, with the way work's been.
