Starting a Sopranos rewatch from the beginning. Will use this thread to share my thoughts.
I forgot how much I can’t stand Artie Bucco.
Mood:
Artie professing his love for Adriana to Tony makes the entire existence of his character worth it.
Just finished Season 3. This show is pretty close to flawless. Doesn’t get brought up nearly enough in the 🐐 conversation.
The scene that begins with Tony driving while listening to the Chi-Lites might be my favorite in the entire series
I’m so ready to get Ralph Cifaretto up out of here.
“Revenge is like serving cold cuts” is an all-time Tony line.
I can’t even fathom how polarizing the dream sequence episode was in real time. The Ringer would have had to have had 12 emergency podcasts.
About to watch Long Term Parking. My wife has no idea what’s about to happen 😳
The odds of me buying a bathrobe by the time I finish rewatching the series are -9000
My bathrobe just arrived. Now I need a newspaper subscription.
A part of what makes Sopranos so great is that it was fortunate to be made when it was. The technology of the time period largely holds up. If it started just a few years earlier, it would seem wildly outdated.
AJ Soprano often gets pointed to as the weak link of the show, but he’s mostly fine until the last season, which he’s in way too much.
“Mangenius”
Just finished the series. I’ll have more thoughts later, but there’s no longer a debate about the ending, right? Rewatching it, Chase is beating us over the head with clues the entire final season. Pure genius.
