doesn’t look like much but i planted carrots, radishes, lettuce, arugula, chard, and spinach and mulched around the containers so i can grow flowers etc this time
tomorrow im going to mulch the area for raised beds 3 and 4 and start some plants inside. also get rid of those dead leaves and put a little compost down.
everything is ready for the new beds. also i planted potatoes beets and strawberries the other day
new beds are in, adding flower/herb beds around all of them now. starting the tomatoes, peppers, edamame, broccoli, and cucumbers but i might have killed them all by overwatering idk
tiny seedlings are coming up, mostly radishes
last of last year’s carrots
asparagus and brussell sprouts, new seedlings, radish micro-greens
newly emerged: potato, soybean and snap pea, beets
seedling situation quickly spiraling out of control
finished the flower beds and im going to try to do a three sisters mound here though im convinced the corn will not grow
potatoes are huge/transplanting volunteer tomatoes/picked some radishes and arugula
quick pickle
CORN
more pickled radishes. this time i burned my hand sterilizing the jar so i hope i did this right!
meanwhile the radishes are growing much slower in the new soil. thinned just now and got some cute ones
peppers and eggplant, more volunteer tomatoes
people are saying the hottest thing in gardening this year is the cucumber trellis. influencers are posting jaw-dropping sea-blue trellises ripped from the pages of gardeners supply to their socials. teens are going wild with “trellis envy”

we have our first jalapenos 🥵
review of my own pickled radishes from may: these taste too much like vinegar and they’re not crunchy. amateur work. do better
apparently you need tannins to keep your pickles crisp so i put some tea leaves in here
some more potatoes
zinnias
look at these beauties
first okra
when god accidentally shatters a pickling jar he makes a vase
