cvlties discrediting lynn: a thread
this is a part 2 of my previous thread, which touches on other ways the c*lt has disrespected lynn. here’s the link: https://twitter.com/sapphicgvnn/status/1146200761354739713">https://twitter.com/sapphicgv...
but today we’re gonna focus on the way this fandom tends to downplay lynn’s importance in pvris and argue that brian and alex do more when that’s not the case.
DISCLAIMER: THIS IS NOT ME HATING ON BRIAN AND ALEX !! I LOVE THEM BOTH SO MUCH ,, BUT WE NEED TO ADDRESS HOW IMPORTANT LYNN’S ROLE IN PVRIS TRULY IS.
((also i understand this thread is pretty late so i apologize but i’ve been busy so uhh... let’s get into it!!))
earlier this month, pvris released their new single titled ‘dead weight’. cvlties were quick to notice that brian and alex were nowhere to be found on the cover art, promotional photos, or the music video.
in case y’all didn’t know, this is where dead weight debuted and lynn had a lil chat w/ her at the end.
here’s an audio clip:
here’s an audio clip:
imagine still thinking she doesn’t deserve all the credit when homegirl admitted to busting her ass in the studio while y’all praise men for simply existing......

she also said that the boys are her main supporters so fuck outta here if you think she’s “excluding” them.
now we’re gonna dive into another topic, which is kinda like the bigger picture i guess ?? idk how to phrase it.
3) LYNN VS. MISOGYNY IN THE MUSIC INDUSTRY
3) LYNN VS. MISOGYNY IN THE MUSIC INDUSTRY
an interview clip from 2016 (talking abt her experience as a frontwoman)
ik she said she was unbothered (which is great) ,, but hearing that she’s used it is so fucking heartbreaking knowing that so many other women in the music industry face similar struggles.
and going back to the audio clip from annie mac, lyndsey’s goal was to inspire other young women in the industry since she didn’t have that growing up. but y’all robbed her AND YOURSELVES of that opportunity since y’all are DESPERATE for lesbian representation....
to wrap up this thread, here’s the best lyric from dead weight :)
