but today we’re gonna focus on the way this fandom tends to downplay lynn’s importance in pvris and argue that brian and alex do more when that’s not the case.
DISCLAIMER: THIS IS NOT ME HATING ON BRIAN AND ALEX !! I LOVE THEM BOTH SO MUCH ,, BUT WE NEED TO ADDRESS HOW IMPORTANT LYNN’S ROLE IN PVRIS TRULY IS.
((also i understand this thread is pretty late so i apologize but i’ve been busy so uhh... let’s get into it!!))
1) THE RELEASE OF ‘DEAD WEIGHT’
earlier this month, pvris released their new single titled ‘dead weight’. cvlties were quick to notice that brian and alex were nowhere to be found on the cover art, promotional photos, or the music video.
this was met with some STUPID backlash (from a particular individual but we won’t talk abt them)

ik she said she was unbothered (which is great) ,, but hearing that she’s used it is so fucking heartbreaking knowing that so many other women in the music industry face similar struggles.
and going back to the audio clip from annie mac, lyndsey’s goal was to inspire other young women in the industry since she didn’t have that growing up. but y’all robbed her AND YOURSELVES of that opportunity since y’all are DESPERATE for lesbian representation....
