Alright, it’s Day 1 of having the kids home from school, so time to brainstorm what we can do in our time together (so we don’t drive each other bonkers!). First up: #TheAdventurousEatersClub! It can be hard to find time to let the kids destroy the kitchen, but we have time now!

I’m going to be adding ideas here as I come up with them, both for my own peace of mind and to share with everyone. Please feel free to share your own ideas here too! Just because we’re home doesn’t mean we can’t still be the village we all need.

We are entertaining the possibility of making a family D&D campaign to give the 7yo an introduction to the game. The youngest can’t play yet, but his dinosaur/dragon/Bubble Guppy figurines can double as our hero and monster minis. #Covid_19 #FunwithKids #geekparenting

Board games are always a good pass time. We have this one which is fun, plus so many other good ones: Life, Sorry!, Ticket to Ride, Fluxx, Uno, etc. We also have Monopoly on the Switch which makes it WAY easier to play with littles (and you can take breaks!) #Covid_19 #momtweet

Today has been A Day so we went low key and painted nails. For some folks this is a common occurrence, but here it’s a bit of an event. But it’s pretty, entertaining, and has the added benefit of helping me (a nail biter) hopefully avoid damaging myself with all the anxiety.

So, I definitely abandoned this thread for quite awhile... not bc I wanted to, but bc the household was very ill for quite awhile. So just go ahead and insert “survival” and “ #ACNH ” for the better part of the last two weeks. Homeschooling definitely took a backseat. #StayHome

On the plus side, we managed to fit in some fun activities which I’ll share here since I know we are all getting desperate for ideas to keep the kids entertained by this point.
