ah i'm still so emotional over taehyung why do all his songs have this thread of innocence & a gentle acceptance of possibly unrequited love like he knows that he feels too much & knows the other person cannot reciprocate in the same capacity but he's grateful to be able to love.

there's also this continuing strain of regret, like the lament of a missed opportunity, of a chance never taken, or of having understood his feelings too late... but he still hopes. bc the person /knows/ him like nobody else, surely they'd understand?
