No objection in principle to any of this. But 60% infection = 40m sufferers = 8m pneumonia cases, 95% of which occur in a 9 week period. So they're not getting hospital treatment. They have to be cared for at home by family. Can we please have guidance on how to prepare for that? https://twitter.com/BethRigby/status/1238391470131986432
Should we all be buying our own oxygen? Peppermints? Shld we be keeping them warm? Cool? 8m pneumonia patients being treated at home surely justifies some kind of general guidance on preparation & care being offered? Will common antibiotics be de-controlled for 2ndry infections?
I really think we need a proper public debate abt de-controlling common antibiotics to help treat 2ndry lung infections for non-hospitalised pneumonia sufferers. De-controlling seems obviously right (at the right time) to me - but perhaps I'm wrong? We need to discuss it.
