gonna try making a thread on painting progress :-D i'll be very embarassed if the final product turns out bad. but thought it might be fun :-D

K the underpainting feels good as done. this is my third time trying glazing instead of direct painting !! this part ALWAYS freaks me out bc it looks crappy & i second guess myself, but in the end i think it's good that it slows me down a bit & forces me to think abt value

going in with oils now...i alwas start from the focal point for no reason other than it makes me less anxious to have it done first :-P the first block-in was so fresh but the drawing was wrong so i had to rework it. i try to go from dark to light so white doesnt contaminate

more colour to contextualize :-O

another head, and some tulle that i painted too blue hair is looking a little clumpy too hmmm

fell back into a more direct approach instead of glazing... i think it can still be made cohesive though. both figures half done! not looking forward to the floorboards..........

just so you know i have NOT STOPPED making progress on this but i am too embarassed to continue showing the tiny tweaks so i'll update this thread once it's done 4 real. k gn :)
