I was #demexit before it was trendy to be so. The Democratic party is never going to change. It is crucial to build up an alternative. I've voted for Green Party nominee @HowieHawkins twice in the NY gubernatorial race. I'll be happy to vote for him for President in November.

For those people who are #demexit who are thinking of writing in @BernieSanders or someone else or staying home; don't. If @HowieHawkins is able to reach 5% in the national results, it means that the @GreenPartyUS will be eligible for federal funds. That's critical money.

It means that the @GreenPartyUS will be guaranteed funds by the federal government that can, and will, be used to build up local parties to shore up smaller races that can be built into bigger ones. That's important if you want to build a movement from the ground up. #demexit

Even though I personally don't believe that electoral politics changes anything, and that grassroots groups are always what makes change in our society, it's a better use of your time, money and effort than just throwing it away on a candidate who will endorse Biden. #DemExit

It is blatantly obvious that the #losewithbiden people are correct, despite the delusions of many to the contrary. Accepting this now means that anyone who is #demexit can organize on a number of fronts from now until November in ways that are more effective and people powered.

The Green Party is not on the ballot in every state. Stop wasting your time propping up @BernieSanders and help petition @HowieHawkins and the @GreenPartyUS to ensure that both he and the party can receive votes in all 50 states. #DemExit https://howiehawkins.us/ballotaccess/

I've been speaking to a number of activist friends about this and we all agree on this. If @BernieSanders' supporters gave grassroots, non establishment organizations even 10% of the money that his campaign raised, it would do NYC, and really the country, a lot of good. #demexit

The comrades could organize bigger and more frequent actions, fund more #jailsupport and push radical actions that will force the establishment and the wealthy to their knees. Use the anger around @BernieSanders' inability to win fairly to push those who will fight. #DemExit

Medicare for All (Single Payer), cancelling student debt and ending our wars are all important issues. Organize and disrupt regardless of who is president. Even if Bernie had won, there's no guarantee these issues would be addressed legislatively. You have to fight. #DemExit

Don't continue to use pacifist methods or ones the media approves of. The media condones certain actions because they are meaningless and ineffective at forcing change. #FTP3 had the right idea and so will #FTP4. Whatever the media hates is what you should support. #DemExit

In conclusion to my thread, I welcome anyone who feels upset with the state of the country and the world to not allow your feelings of despair to consume you. Take in your grief, process it and then channel it into fucking up the system. We need a real revolution. #demexit
