I know the coronavirus isn't Trump's fault.

What's Trump's fault is declining to use the WHO test like other nations, instead letting the CDC produce its own test, the delay for which allowed carriers to spread the virus for months without knowing who was infected-- to this day!
What's Trump's fault is firing Tim Ziemer, the Sr. Director of Global Health Security at the National Security Council, before ordering the NSC’s entire global health security unit shut down.

Ziemer was never replaced.
What's Trump's fault is firing Tom Bossert, Homeland Security Adviser on the NSC who coordinated the response to global pandemics. And Dr. Luciana Borio, the NSC's director for medical and biodefense preparedness, also left the NSC.

Neither Bossert nor Borio were never replaced.
What's Trump's fault is proposing a 19% cut to the CDC, including cuts to public health scientific services, public health preparedness and response programs and global health programs; as well as cuts to epidemic prevention programs in 39 out of 49 countries, *including China.*
What's Trump's fault is sewing doubt re: the severity of the virus, using the word "hoax" at events (including ones WHERE THE VIRUS WAS BEING SPREAD), when he should've been warning people (especially older & immunodeficient ppl) to avoid crowded areas, unnecessary contact, etc.
What's Trump's fault is pretending it was contained to avoid political fallout; teasing tax cuts to avoid political fallout; leaving a cruise ship full of Americans at sea for days to avoid political fallout.

What's his fault is focusing on his political future over our lives.
