Y'all wanna talk about Women's History Month but wont talk about the numerous feminist icons on Nickelodeon's: Avatar the Last Airbender. Cant take y'all seriously at ALL.
Katara: Aside from being the backbone of the team, literally fought her grandma's old ass boyfriend. On sight. Cuz he wouldn't let her train. Told her to get back in the healing huts where she belonged, so she tried to slice this nigga's neck with thin crust pizzas made of ice.
Kanna aka "Gran Gran": Marry who?? Him?? Nah fam we dippin. Remember that boyfriend I was talking bout? She went 9000 miles to get away from weak dick and chauvinist practices. Ladies take notes. Leave him. Leave him and his entire tribe.
Toph: Blind as a badgermole. 12 years old. Underground earthbending fight champion. Grown ass men. Beaten. Discovered/created metal bending. First Chief of Police of Republic City (that's some Korra shit but it's relevant cuz who else you know on that level. That's right. Nobody)
Suki: Aka, "I dont need no man Suki" aka "Dont call for me unless I send for you." Will box anyone. Has the best non bending hands in the game. Dropped Sokka, went toe to toe with Azula, smacks up prison wardens on the regular. Leader of the Kyoshi Warriors. Team Avatar Hitman.
Yue: Watch your man like Yue watches Sokka. Sacrificed her life to replace the moon spirit. Now she haunts Sokka cuz all men do is cheat, lie, and kiss Kyoshi Warriors.
Azula: Chill. Dunno if y'all realize, shes the fuckin' firebender in the intro. That alone should say everything. Flames? Blue. Psyche? Unstable. Zuko?? Fuck outta here boi. She a killer so dont push her. First Female Fire Lord. Reign? 5 Minutes. 5 Minutes of Feminism.
Those were the main jawns I wanted to get off my chest. Special shout out to Mai and Ty Lee. The Korra series was pretty bad, but had a lot more badass women. Honestly. I should be doing something more productive with my time.
