I have been banging this drum for a while but Dallas is one of the most underrated backs in this class. Kid has a really unique skill set that could absolutely make him a legit 3 down back in the NFL.

Dallas is at or near the top of the class in 3 main catalogues: Leg Drive, Contact Balance and Pass Protection
Leg Drive: Here we a play inside the 5 that should have been stopped short, however, Dallas keeps his legs churning and uses that 2nd effort to reach the end zone.

Here, Dallas is hit head on by the backside linebacker. That stops most RBs dead in their tracks. However, Deejay’s legs refuse to stop and nabs 3-4 extra yards that shouldn’t have been there. Love the leg drive. Also Florida was ranked as a top 10 rush defense fwiw

Pass Protection: Here are back to back plays where Dallas picks up the blitzing linebacker. He stops the backer in his tracks on both plays but specifically the 2nd he does a great job of getting his feet underneath his shoulder pads and delivering a punch at the point of contact
Contact Balance: Here are where things get fun... I’ll attach several plays in a row and watch him be hit and have the ability to absorb the blown and use either power or elusiveness to evade the next defender

The former WR even showing the ability to use that contact balance for some YAC
Although he had some connection drops at times, he shows soft hands and can catch away from his body. Want to see him split out more often but the skill is there.
Also notice how his eyes are downfield to see how to utilize his blocking. That a good habit of his in his tape.

Oh yeah, and the kid can even return kicks

All in all, the more I watch of his tape, the more impressed I become. Deejay Dallas is definitely one of “my guys in the 2020 class
Also, here was an interview i got to be a part of at the combine https://twitter.com/DynastyPrice/status/1232708126400548864
Watching more tape and seeing him on kickoff team, you know that versatility will help a guy like @DallasDeejay
