So after reading @soraackerman8 about The possibility of Eren being controlled by ymir/zeke I linked that with young Mikasa's case, so I will not disagree with that possibility but I will stick with the Pixis words plan of Eren, and write from what Mikasa would save Eren.

So let's start with the OBVIOUS parralels between the two Charters:

Young Eren and Adult Mikasa!

First of all :
1/ The hair :
Both the ones being the victim have long hair and the savior have short hair (even their cloths)

Both The Saviors Adult Mikasa & Young Eren have currently their Scarf with them (Mikasa having a Scarf in the Cover is a K.O) before saving Young Mikasa & Adult Eren who are alone and probably feeling cold so the Scarf will give them warmth (that edit..)

Eren jaeger is the Victim of his fate and His mission that has been given to him (Unite the world and stop the War).. Mikasa is the savior of that Boy who's fighting alone to unite the world and making sure he don't include his friends (Levi words about the choice in S01)

Now to solidify my theory I will bring back again this weird Moment in Season 01 where Eren's titan and among everyone Attacked Mikasa without Reason (that time Eren wasn't still conscient about his powers and has been shocked by what happened in the court)

And LET'S NOT FORGET THAT HER SCAR (who'e as symbolic as the Scarf) WAS MADE IN THAT MOMENT..
For me the reason why he attacked her is that The Attack Titan was defeated in the Future by the same Mikasa, And knowing his ability to see the path he clearly remembered her.

Once again it proves that Eren is formed By (Human Eren+The Attack Titan+the other two ofc) just To reminder that Eren and The Attack Titan are two different thing, That's why Mikasa mission will be to free him from those powers And bring back his humanity bring back Eren

She need to defeat The Attack titan (him attacking her MEANS THAT SHE SUCCEEDED) she need to save Eren from The monster he's willing to be.. She needs to bring back his humanity by showing him Love & by wrapping that scarf around him as he did for her when she was young

And as Eren's emblematic ocean scene I'm sure the final will take place in the Sea and will be a contrast!

And for those talking about Armin being the last one standing.. Let me remind you that Armin is a Colossal Titan as the thousands of colossals! So it can mean that he's the last colossal standing! And that the Rumbling is no longer up and humanity is Safe
