Khatri track - I think it was a point when the dynamics between the trio changed to a great extent .. they were changing gradually but this very part was something big for all
Talking about the main plot , Imo the 'crime' that ishwari did wasn't the main thing at all . Ishwari , as a person , let us forget what she did with Dev sona for a minute and go 20 years back in time +
Ishwari -only Ishwari , not Dev's maa , not Mrs. Dixit , not neha Rhea Nikki's maa, not sona's MIL ,not soha's dadi - was a righteous lady who earned her own bread and had a dedicated outlook towards her job +
Yes she was earning a little, but she never hated her job , Dev felt that she did "small jobs" and that's how any kid would think . She wasn't dishonest. But when she stole those two bangles , ISHWARI DIED , she killed ishwari and became Ishwari-the Mother. +
Dev called her "bhagwaan" believed that she can do no wrong , this added to her insecurities . She never wanted to fall in the eyes of Dev , she didn't want to kill ishwari the mother too.
This is just ishwari's base of the track , layer no 1 . I have a lot to say , will keep updating this thread
Her possessive nature was natural , but what she did post devakshi marriage was not justified till this track , some parts of that weren't natural at all . We needed a reason and we got one
That is , her FEAR of loosing Dev's Love . Her fear to kill herself.. because Ishwari died 20 years ago

I first thought that all he needed was money , but that wasn't the truth , he did want money , but a BIG amount that to from ishwari only..which put her in more guilt .

As I said I'll keep updating whenever I get time so now I'm going to write about what I felt was a little odd in the khatri track . I'm going to be respectful and this is my honest opinion. Criticizing krpkab is very difficult for me .
So I didn't understand the point of showing the 'maalkin' and her beti as helpless people and they found khatri on this whole planet to give them shelter. Also repeatedly it was stated that they got "destroyed" cuz the marriage broke
And this kinda wasn't given a proper base and reason . I don't know whether it was intentional or a flaw in the script
I won't say that they were sending a wrong message by showing the helpless women . We discussed yesterday that the show is real and not all women are strong like sona or ish . Intact the mom-daughter had shown different kinds of strength, like showing a knife to dev
So they weren't completely weak . They were human. Regarding the crime I'd like @Haria73 to give her pov as it was her idea to discuss the khatri track. It's really the most misunderstood track
