In my utter stupidity, I lectured her on why she should chill out. SARS, MERS, Ebola were supposed to be bad and nothing happened. #Normalcybias.

I’m the polar opposite of a germaphobe. Strong immune system. Rarely get sick.
But she wasn’t relenting. She was concerned. It took me about a wk of her teaching me why she was concerned until the lightbulb moment.

She was sourcing studies online, presenting them to hospital leadership, and they laughed her off. It broke her heart.
She’s a caregiver by her nature. She cares deeply for people. Her patients/staff/family/me. I’m a beyond blessed man to have her by my side.

End of January, her hospital had still given no updates to nurses, had expired hazmats, only 1 isolation room, no tests, no training, no plans.
She implored them to prepare. They treated her like she was crazy. That broke my heart.

Suddenly we get news they are sending patients to military facility 5 miles from our house and her hospital. What?!?!
