Hello, it’s kio. It’s come to my attention that certain material expressed in my au is viewed as insensitive and offensive, and I wanted to apologize and address it here before any misconceptions of my intentions are made. +

first of all, this is not to “excuse” my actions nor justify them, because it was purely an act of ignorance on my side. upon deciding to use the f-slur in my writing, I considered it “okay” because it was meant to frame the character saying it in a derogatory fashion and +

highlight an injustice often made against people of the community. what I failed to recognize when using it, however, was how it may impact the people reading it. I have never used this word irl against anyone nor do I think it’s okay to ever call anyone it either. +

I should have been open minded and considered how other people may feel about it, and I feel really terrible that I used it. But that’s the point of criticism, to help people rethink and build character when it is offensive and unnecessary in any form of expression. +

From here on out I will not be implementing the word because I am now aware of the hurt that I may have caused. The last thing that I want to do is hurt anyone or make anyone feel as if I don’t care about the weight of a word I initially didn’t have a full understanding of. +
