God has designed marriage to be a covenantal, sexual, procreative, eternal union of man and woman, as husband and wife. This is symbolized in the love between Christ and his bride the church. God created divine differences between male & female for human good/ flourishing
Because God's divinely ordained union involves a heterosexual relationship, any other type of union is not God's design for marriage. Marriage by its very nature is a union that is heterosexual. There is no such thing as a same-sex marriage. It is essentially a heterosexual union
God has commanded us to be chaste outside of marriage and faithful within marriage
One's desires cannot justify sexual immorality before or outside marriage. However powerful your desires toward immoral behavior may be, that doesn't justify your indulging them
We all have desires that we choose not to act on: gluttony, drugs/ alcohol, violence... We need to practice mastery over our desires
God is not asking of the homosexual person anything different than he is asking of the single male or female who is attracted to members of the opposite sex, and that is to remain chaste and to not indulge in those desires
The Savior Jesus Christ has a perfect understanding of every challenge we experience here on earth, and we can turn to Him for comfort, joy, hope, and direction
