So i just got pokeshield & im in the first wild area right
Game tells me "hey wath out for big pokemon theyre super strong" & i go "okay ill avoid the big bois"
But fun fact i cant tell which pokemon are big or not
So the first one I run into is a diggersby lv 15

Me with a grooky im like "okay nbd i got this" & yeah it was tough but i got it
Then i see a haunter

Me: o rad i can catch a haunter early in the game
Game: you encountered a strong-looking haunter
Me: o shit
Haunter: lv 31
Me: *sends out lv 11 zigzagoon* O SHIT
Haunter: *night shade*
No effect
Me: okay uhhh *spams sand attack*
Haunter: *curse*
Me: o fuck

Itemfinder (my bby): *takes 7 damage per turn*
Me: phew
Haunter: *night shade*
Me: holy shit thats the only move it knows
Itemfinder: *spams leer and lick*
Me: *spams potions*
Haunter: *slowly takes damage until it faints*

And that children is how i scammed my way out of a fight with a lv 31 haunter with a lv 11 zigzagoon

Reviving this thread bc it JUST happened again but with a lv 27 Duskull that also knew payback and will-o-wisp
I once again used the sand-attack-lick-spam technique and ended up paralyzing it too
