2/ You don’t get to lazily invoke s.28 for your political purposes. S.28 does not give cover for behaviour that is abusive & harmful. The cry “they did that to the gays” has been used before by groups that desperately sought to avoid scrutiny whilst advancing a dangerous agenda.

3/ You could have used your considerable talent to engage with the complexity of the issues: The dangers of male sex offenders being able to ID as women or young same-sex attracted girls being sent down a trans pathway, in their teens, horrified & ashamed of the label ‘woman’

4/ Lesbians are being subjected to rampant homophobia and hatred from males within the trans lobby, who think they can act with impunity precisely because of lily-livered politicians like you giving them cover.

5/ Your silence will help advance one of the most viciously homophobic & misogynist movements we’ve ever seen in our lifetimes in the West. You have allied yourself & labour with a male sexual rights movement that has hijacked the LGB and the T & is doing harm. You sided with men

6/ You taught my generation that human rights mattered. And here we are, desperately in need of that wisdom & what do you do? You replace the catechism TWAW with ‘trans rights are human rights.’ You have shown no leadership, no courage, and the shame of that will not be forgotten
