SATURN

a lost history thread

Saturn is the source of much occult speculation, with many theories surrounding it. This will be both a history and an explanation of the enigmatic entity known as Saturn.

Saturn was our first Sun. The sun of the golden age. In Japanese Saturn is called “土星” which means EarthStar. Many of the sun gods of ancient history are linked not to our current sun, but to the original Sun. To SATURN.

During this time Mars flourished with life, it was a golden age on the three realms Earth, Mars and Venus. Venus was not baked by the heat of the Sun and Mars was no loner frozen. The solar system instead revolved around Saturn. The alchemical symbol for Sun and Gold is Saturn

But Saturn is no longer a star. What happened to it? This is the tale alluded to in all ancient mythology. The end of the golden age, the fall of man, the war in heaven, the beginning of Time.

In Egyptian mythology Osiris is tied to Saturn. Osiris is murdered by Set and his body is cut into 14 pieces. Isis the wife of Osiris can only find 13. She recreates the 14th piece (his phallus) out of GOLD and brings Osiris back to life by sinking his sarcophagus in the Nile.

But there is a problem, Osiris cannot yet return to the world of the living and so instead he rules from beyond the veil for now, while his sun Horus (who is linked to the sun) rules in his place. I will explain how this ties in soon.

The death of the old sun and the birth of the new sun are stories in all ancient myths. The concept of reincarnation is tied to this event.

Saturn is now a god of death, a god of harvest and the god of time. When he ruled the skies the world was perfect. Nothing aged or changed. It was eternally summer. Then the sons of Saturn overthrew him, seeking to rule the world themselves and so they imprisoned their father.

Osiris was locked in a wooden sarcophagus and sank in the Nile. This myth is tied to the annual flooding of the Nile, death and rebirth. It is also tied to the flood myth itself. So let us examine the ancient flood myth of Sumerian and Babylonian texts.

In it Utnapishtim is commanded to make a boat of “equal height and width” a wooden cube to save all life from being destroyed.

This is a complicated scenario. Because despite the convoluted symbolism Saturn is not Evil. In fact it is his son Jupiter who creates man and seeks to imprison his father ending the age of paradise. In this sense Jupiter takes on the personification of the demiurge.

Saturn has been sealed away. This was done by his power hungry children, the Race who lived on Olympus Mons on Mars. They stole his powers and sealed him away inside a black cube. A material prison. This is why a lot of people conflate cubes with Saturn. It’s his prison

Cubes are not symbols of Saturn worship but instead they are signs of his imprisonment. The are symbols of the triumph of the demiurge.

Utnapishtim was instructed to create a cube to save all life, the cube became the prison of Saturn. The flood marks the end of the golden age, and the beginning of Kali Yuga. The flood is also tied to the coming of the moon.

In Alchemy Saturn symbolizes lead which is the base form of gold. This is to symbolize the fall of Saturn, who was once a golden sun but has been reduced to base materials.

This is the tale of two suns. As saturn’s energy is siphoned away by Jupiter, it is shot out like bolts of plasmic lightning. Some say these hit a planet which then becomes the sun as it explodes into life, others that these sparks of divine essence form the new Sun on their own.

Saturns rings are what is left from the accretion disc, that started to form as Saturn was sealed away but did not become a black hole.

The sun we have now still has echoes of Saturn, Horus is the son of Osiris and rules in his stead. He is the reincarnation of this father. The sun passes through the underworld every night and is reborn. This is the cycle of time.

The Egyptian myth speaks of the return of Osiris at the end of the world, where he will rise from the underworld at the final judgement where he weighs the heart of every man against a feather.

The end of this age is prophesied in the book of revelation. In it there is a new heaven and a new earth, and the new Jerusalem descended from the sky as a perfect cube.

To wrap things up; Saturn is the original sun, the god of the golden age who was usurped by his sons and imprisoned. Because of this the whole cosmos changed and became what it is today.
