Being a woman means being too young for everything until suddenly you are too old for everything, with at least ten years in between when you are simultaneously too young AND too old.
Basically, a woman's life is just like 80+ years of everyone telling you why it's your fault that you can't be taken seriously, ever, and every life choice you make is wrong.
When you're thin they'll say you don't have enough curves, and when you're fat they'll say you have too much. There is no winning. Models are relentlessly put down and shamed for their bodies. No alleged "flaw" is too small that people won't try to hurt you with and monetize it.
Single? Sad. Married? Boring. Ambitious career? Selfish. Stay-at-home mom? Irrelevant. Don't have kids? Pathetic. Have kids? What a dork.

Quiet? Weak. Loud? Scary. Meticulous? Over prepared. Vague? Unqualified.

How long are we going to keep playing this game?
Here, if you relate to these tweets, I wrote a book about feminism and cultural expectations of women: https://www.amazon.com/High-Object-Lessons-Summer-Brennan/dp/150132599X/ref=tmm_pap_swatch_0?_encoding=UTF8&qid=&sr=
