This is the OSU offseason thread. Will drop random stats or videos throughout the next several months as I compile them. Will start by reposting videos that I have already put on here so everything is in order.
Here is a quick breakdown of my favorite play design of the 2019 season.
If you found yourself wondering why OSU didn't run the slant RPO plays more....well they did. A&M just adjusted well after first quarter and bracketed Johnson's side.
Nice GT RPO design here.
One concept that I really hope sticks in the OSU playbook is how Sean Gleeson leveraged orbit motion return. I thought he did as good of a job of anyone using it. It consistently bought Hubbard an extra step or two to break off chunk yardage.
OSU got torched a few times versus Baylor, but there are some interesting plays in this game that might be a preview of what is to come in 2020. There is a sense that the defense will leave CBs on islands (even with guys like Mims out there) and flood middle of field.
Trace Ford is a really exciting player, but not just because he's a great athlete. I think something that stands out for me is his instincts and ability to have great feel for the game at such a young age. Most Freshmen would just crash into the RB at full speed here.....
Final pressure rate stats for Big 12 games only. PR is defined as committing 5+ players to rushing passer.

First 4 games
17% pressure rate
34.75 points/game allowed
1.25 turnovers forced/game

Final 5 games
40% pressure rate
22.8 points/game allowed
2 turnovers forced/game

Hopefully we see more of this. Edge drops out trying to slide under hot route, DL slants outside to stretch OL side to side which puts Center on island. Double A gap pressure from both LBs. Rodriguez is able to spring free for the easy QB pressure.
Trace Ford is definition of swiss army knife. Not sure I've ever seen this before. He's lined up outside of the CB? I know it's reduced splits but still. Ends up covering the flat.
When talking about 3 man fronts, I think ideally you need 3 guys who can handle themselves on double teams. Not only does Antwine hold his position, he actually gains ground.
When you hear the term "scheming a player open" this is what they're talking about. Really fun play messing with eligible receivers and manipulating numbers to your advantage.
If you're asking a CB to hold contain like this against 89 it's not going to end well.
Bubble/Now screens are a good way to generate an easy 4-5 yards and also manipulate run fits. This is 3 consecutive plays, pay attention to play #1 and #3. Screen them to death, then get the numbers you want in run game, #33 takes bad tackling angle bc of it and CH is gone.
Stat of the night:

OSU ran an unbalanced formation 10 times vs TCU, for the most part looked like picture below with Tackle eligible and TE ineligible (a few diff variations). Stats are below of those plays:

10 plays
258 yards (56% of game total)
25.8 yards/play
3 TDs
Stats on remaining plays:

46 plays
201 yards (44% of game total)
4.4 yards/play
1 TD
1 INT
Trace Ford is going to make it hard on a lot of OL this fall. (hopefully this fall) Can see the Center isn't quick enough to beat Ford to the spot, and he's agile enough to plug the B gap/cause cutback and slide back down LOS to make the play.
Hubbard made this turn completely around.
This WVU game might be the most underwhelming game I've seen in a while. OSU really struggled to find vertical opportunities. The grinded one out on the road and won, which is most important part. But it wasn't pretty.
Here are the last 4 plays of the WVU game. Jim Knowles brings the juice when the game is on the line. 3 man front, 4 man front, coming from all 3 levels.

1st down - 7 man pressure
2nd down - 4 man pressure
3rd down - 7 man pressure
4th down - 7 man pressure
Based on @Ian_A_Boyd recommendation, watching Ford against A&M in Texas Bowl. Off to a good start here on first drive, forces fumble.
Does nice job here shedding block to make play on outside.
Having a little trouble here understanding gap responsibility on this one, but Ford gets caught in traffic here and is unable to make play.
Gets caught a little too far inside, and RB is able to get the corner. Tough matchup.
Ford's quickness off the ball is really impressive. Gets to QB and disrupts throw.
Nice spin move here when they started to key in on speed rush.
Gets burned here on the mesh.
Everyone is pretty gap sound here on the long Mond TD. Rodriguez needs to shed TE and doesn't.
A lot of teams are doing this now. Using jet motion to get defense rolling strong side (watch how Safety is out of position due to motion), pulling GT combo but keeping in TE/H Back to manage backside pressure. Especially if you don't have mobile threat at QB.
This is Chuba Hubbard's 327th carry of the season. Work. Horse.
Amen Ogbongbemiga finished with 12 tackles and 1 sack. He was everywhere, and was fantastic down the stretch of the season. Poised for a big year in 2020.
Well this is a fun play.
This is beautiful zone blocking. Needs to be in a textbook somewhere.
Something that stands out here is the quickness and cohesion as a unit. Here is the end of the first step, all OL in sync and 2 of the DT's aren't even out of their stance yet. They lacked consistency like this at times throughout the year.
These soft edges weren't there later in the year. Teven Jenkins with a textbook assist for Bray, then seals the path on 2nd level.
Pretty solid layered A gap pressure here.
Looks like IT2 here. Peel gets caught watching #2 WR and lets slot cross his face. Have to be better here.
