OK, so this is a thread on how my betting came across @DailyStatCards for the better.

Like many people who bet, I initially followed the usual sh*t tipsters, I won't name names but we all know who they are. I was successful at first, winning well, but then the fall. 1/9
I started to lose, in hindsight that's to be expected as dodgy tipsters feed off short winning streaks, so I stopped betting and decided I best do some research. I didn't fo too deep, but I did learn about tracking bets and why good tipsters will always be open. 2/9
Luckily my working background is process science which involves looking at process trends, so I used my experience to approach betting more methodically. I watch the tipsters on Twitter and logged all their bets, using 3rd party websites like Scorebing to track all their bets 3/9
That period allowed me to really filter out the chaff, it became clear that in general most tipsters don't actually turn a profit. Of course there are good guys out there, but they are really outnumbered. During this period a name kept cropping up a lot, @DailyStatCards 4/9
@DailyStatCards kept popping up as several other people had found their service valuable. So I started watching. Monitoring what the guys posted, as well as the responses by those that followed them. It became obvious that is been somewhat naive in my approach 5/9
So I decided to sign up. I liked the idea of stats and trends, sort of like a busman's holiday. I listened to what they said and immediately I knew where I was going wrong. It was so simple, yet so easily overlooked, it was all about probability. 6/9
Suddenly I realised that to be successful it was about value. In the end even successful Tipsters only end up with an average win rate of around 60%. The secret was the value. If that's the average then you need to be betting at around evens or better to turn a profit. 7/9
And that was the moment that things clicked, and were things changed. Of course I'm living the life of Riley off betting. I've had bad months (October was really shit) but I always had a back up in @DailyStatCards I could always go back to their league stats and refine 8/9
And in the end that is the lesson. Be informed, don't be lemming, absorb stats, quit when you're in profit, walk away when it's just one of those days. But always remember that there are good guys like @DailyStatCards who will offer advice to newbies #TeamDSC

9/9 The End
