Magu's Economic & #FakeNews Crimes Commission (EFCC) in Port Harcourt has reportedly arrested a twitter user, Dikeocha Chukwuebuka ( @TheRealDayne), who posted false picture depicting EFCC South-South Zone, Detention facility.
Dikeocha Chukwuebuka had, in a trending tweet from @TheRealDayne showed pictures purported to be the EFCC Port Harcourt Zonal Office Holding Cell.

EFCC later, in a statement dispelled the story as fake and demanded a public apology from Dike!
Dikeocha Chukwuebuka ( @TheRealDayne) deleted the said post and issued a public apology but EFCC vowed to arrest him!

At some point, Dike willfully submitted himself to the EFCC in PH, but the news making the rounds now suggest that he's been arrested by the EFCC!
You may recall that the EFCC via it's official Twitter account was also caught pants down propagating #FakeNews when it denied a statement made by it's chairman, Mr. Magu on "Corruption is the cause of #CoronaVirus", no arrest has been made to that effect!
Also, the EFCC isn't the law enforcement agency tasked with curbing #FakeNews, on what ground was Like arrested upon? Since his alleged crime isn't FINANCIAL NOR ECONOMIC in nature?

Are they empowered by law to combat fake news?

But they keep num over real bullion van petitions
When are they going to arrest Magu for propagating fake news? When is the EFCC going to arrest themselves for being merchants of fake news?

Hundreds of govt sponsored BMC @s tweet #fakenews every second on this platform, but, they turn a blind eye to it!
