"I kind of forgot _________ played for ___________."

#NBA players that didn't stick around long, an ongoing thread.
I do a lot of searching for old NBA photos, and I'm almost always reminded that one player or another played a handful of games for a team before moving on or retiring.

For instance...
... in searching for photos of NBA players in protective face masks, I came across Juwan Howard in a Timberwolves jersey in 2007, for whom he played in an NBA Europe event.
An equally strange find was images of John Starks in a Bulls jersey. I'd forgotten about Starks in Chicago.
It was practically impossible to find a photo of Tom Chambers in a 76ers uniform ( #PhilaUnite help me out if you know of any).

Since Chambers only played 10 minutes with Philly, this gif is all I have.
Moses Malone and Adrian Dantley were on the same team for just TWO GAMES?? Nice job, Buffalo Braves.
I seem to remember Allen Iverson playing more than three games for the Memphis Grizzlies. But apparently I'm mistaken.
Tim Hardaway (Sr.) played 10 games for the Indiana Pacers to close out his #NBA career.
Sort of hard to believe that this was ever a thing, but it was.

Last season.
Also this, for three games last March.
A 40-year-old Charles Oakley played for the Houston Rockets on a pair of 10-day contracts near the end of the 2003-04 season.
Nearly 10 years ago, Jerry Stackhouse played in seven games for the Miami Heat,
and 20 years ago, Dennis Rodman grabbed 14.3 rebounds per game for the Dallas Mavericks in 12 appearances.
Bob McAdoo is one of 11 former Nets players in the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame.

In 1981, he played the only 10 games of his New Jersey Nets career.
Carmelo Anthony played the only 10 games of his Houston Rockets career in 2018.
And Hall of Famer Adrian Dantley finished his 15-year career as a member of the Milwaukee Bucks, playing in 10 regular season games (followed by three playoff games) in 1991.
After a six-year absence from the #NBA (during which he coached Boston College to four 20-win seasons), player/coach Bob Cousy played in seven games for Cincinnati during the 1969-70 season. He served as the Royals’ head coach from May 9, 1969 to November 22, 1973.
Tom Chambers played 12 games in 1997 for the Charlotte Hornets.

YouTuber TC24 had this footage (I still can’t find any photos/video of Chambers playing for the 76ers):
Marques Johnson played 10 games for the Golden State Warriors in November of 1989.
Marques Johnson (#8) briefly played with former UCLA teammate Jamaal Wilkes (#52) on the Clippers.

Wilkes, a three-time #NBA Champion, played 13 games for the Clippers in 1985 before unexpectedly announcing his retirement.
Rasheed Wallace had 20 points, six rebounds & five blocks in his only career game with the Atlanta Hawks (February 18, 2004 at New Jersey).

The next day, he was traded to Detroit, where he played in 45 games before winning an #NBA title with the Pistons.
Rasheed Wallace on ESPN’s The Jump, talking about his only game with the Hawks & where he was when he found out he was traded.

BTW, Rachel Nichols says Sheed was leading scorer in that game. He wasn’t; her co-host Stephen Jackson ( @DaTrillStak5) was.
Kenny Anderson played for five teams in the final three years of his #NBA career. In addition to a full season with the Pacers, he also played for the:

Seattle SuperSonics (38 G)
New Orleans Hornets (28 G)
L.A. Clippers (4 G)
Atlanta Hawks (39 G)
Just a reminder that we live in a world that’s one Ray Allen 3-point shot away from Tracy McGrady having a championship ring.
In April 2007, Kevin Willis came out of retirement at age 44 to play in five games for the Dallas Mavericks.
Doug Christie also spent a short time with Dallas in the mid-2000s, playing in seven games for the Mavs at the end of '05. Just over a year later, Christie played seven games with the Clippers on a pair of 10-day contracts.
Before stints with the Mavs and Clippers, Doug Christie played 21 games with the Orlando Magic after being traded by the Kings in January of 2005.
I’ve gotta admit, the “Isaiah Rider is a Denver Nugget” era blew right past me.

Rider played 10 games for Denver in 2001.
Bob Love played 14 games with Milwaukee in 1968 before being traded to Chicago, where he spent seven full seasons.

He played 13 games with the New York Nets after the Bulls traded him away in 1976.
Vernon Maxwell played 11 games for the Orlando Magic in 1998.
Hall of Famer Slater Martin was with the New York Knicks for a month and a half in 1956. He played 13 games.
Tim Hardaway, Denver Nuggets.

14 games in 2002.
Kendall Gill’s 15th & final #NBA season was 2004-05, during which he played 14 games with the Milwaukee Bucks.
Penny & Shaq were briefly reunited when Anfernee Hardaway came out of retirement to play the first month of the 07-08 season with the Heat.

Miami went 3-13 in those 16 games. Penny was released in December, and Shaq was traded to the Suns in February.
Moses Malone finished his #NBA career with San Antonio.

The late, great Hall of Famer played in 17 games for the Spurs in 1994.
Moses Malone finished his 21-year pro career in one of the coolest ways ever.

The 39-year-old drilled a 75-foot shot in his final game.
In just his 6th game with the Clippers, Glen Rice hit a 20-footer with time expiring to beat Dallas (December 10, 2003).

He played only 12 more games with the #Clippers, and was waived on January 16, 2004.

Thanks to today’s @HoopsHabit article by @Tony_Pesta about forgotten Cavs players, I’ll add Isaiah Thomas & Baron Davis (15 games apiece), Derrick Rose (16) and Deron Williams (24 games) to this thread.

I won’t spoil the rest:

Manute Bol played in just 14 games between three different #NBA teams during the 1993-94 season.

Eight of those 14 games were with the Miami Heat.
Andrew Bogut's playing career with the Cleveland Cavaliers lasted all of 58 seconds.

Somehow, he still managed to commit two personal fouls for the Cavs.
Andrew Bogut signed with Cleveland on March 2, 2017.

He broke his left leg on March 6 against the Miami Heat, in his very first minute playing in a Cavs jersey.

LeBron James said he could hear the bone break:
I kind of forgot that in two #NBA seasons (2015-2017), Lance Stephenson played for the:

Clippers (43 games)
Grizzlies (30 games)
Pelicans (6 games)
Timberwolves (6 games)
Pacers (10 games)
When Bob McAdoo played 20 #NBA games with the Celtics in ‘79, Boston rostered three future HOFers under age 31 (McAdoo/Archibald/Cowens).

Trading Bob McAdoo later in ‘79 led to a #Celtics roster with three future HOFers under 28 (Bird/McHale/Parish). https://twitter.com/NBACobwebs/status/1170011047081717760
This just seems so strange.

Games played with the Knicks:
Chauncey Billups 22
Rasheed Wallace 21
Bernard King played 19 games for the Utah Jazz in 1979.

King dealt with legal issues during the 1979-80 season, and was traded to Golden State in September 1980. He was named #NBA Comeback Player of the Year for the Warriors in 1981.
Vernon Maxwell played 23 games with the Dallas Mavericks and 24 with the Philadelphia 76ers in 2000-01, his final #NBA season.
Oops, I believe the previous Vernon Maxwell Sixers photo was taken during his 1995-96 season with Philly.

To make it right, here’s one of Max on the 2000-01 76ers and his three previous teams (Hornets, Sonics & Kings).

Guest appearance by Dave Cowens.
Vinsanity & The Dream.

For 52 games in 2001-02, it was a real thing.
If you remember one thing when you go to sleep tonight, remember that Tom Gugliotta once played for the Warriors (40 G), Jazz (25 G), Hawks (27 G) and Celtics (20 G).
Glenn "Big Dog" Robinson was added to the Spurs roster on April 4, 2005 and played nine games with San Antonio to finish the 2004-05 season, also appearing in 13 playoff games during their '05 NBA Championship run.
Sam Cassell finished his #NBA career the same way it began -- by winning an NBA Championship. Cassell played in 17 regular season and 21 playoff games with the Boston Celtics in 2008. He logged 15 minutes per game at age 38.
And somewhere in between his NBA Titles, Sam Cassell once played for three teams in a single season (1996-97):

Phoenix Suns (22 G)
Dallas Mavericks (16 G)
New Jersey Nets (23 G)
Christian Laettner played 49 regular season games and 13 playoff games as a member of the 2004-05 Miami Heat.
Someone out there has a better image of Adrian Dantley with the Pacers.

Nonetheless, A.D. played 23 games with Indiana in 1977 before being traded to the Lakers.

His per game averages with Indy: 26.5 points & 9.4 rebounds.
Dennis Rodman played 23 games for the Los Angeles Lakers in 1999.
During Dennis Rodman’s 23 games with the Lakers in ‘99, he faced Terry Cummings of the Warriors twice.

Cummings played 72 games for Golden State between 1998 & 2000.
Before joining the Warriors in 1998, Terry Cummings was a member of the Philadelphia 76ers (44 G), New York Knicks (38 G) and Seattle SuperSonics (57 G).
Anthony Mason began his NBA career with the New Jersey Nets, playing 21 games in 1990.
Anthony Mason played in three games with the Nuggets during the 1990-91 season. Here's a clip of Mase, down 40 points, working to keep Scott Skiles from setting the single-game assists record. He played nine minutes and committed four fouls, but previewed his legendary toughness.
Tracy McGrady of the New York Knicks, 2010.

T-Mac averaged 9.4 points, 3.9 assists & 3.7 rebounds in 24 games with the Knicks.
Dominique Wilkins spent part of the 1993-94 season with the Clippers after being traded by Atlanta. He averaged 29 points & seven rebounds in 25 games.

Nique finished his career in Orlando, playing 28 games for the Magic in '99. He appeared in two games with his brother, Gerald.
Jim Jackson is one of four players to have played for 12 NBA teams in his career (the others are Joe Smith, Tony Massenburg & Chucky Brown). In his 14-year career, Jackson played for the:

Mavericks
Nets
76ers
Warriors
Trail Blazers
Hawks
Cavaliers
Heat
Kings
Rockets
Suns
Lakers
After getting swept by Shaq & the Lakers in the '02 Finals, the Nets rostered a handful of veteran centers over the next few years:

Dikembe Mutombo (2002-03)
Alonzo Mourning (2003-04)
Elden Campbell (a forgettable 10 games in 2004-05)
Clifford Robinson (who stayed from 2004-07)
