Sooooooo I took the plunge...AGAIN with online dating. I’m being a commitmentphobe so I only did two apps for a one month subscription: Hinge and Black People Meet.

I like Hinge a lot but the other day, the conversation I was leading fizzled but didn’t pop. Oh well!

Black People Meet notifications/emails are on POF levels and although only downloaded for a few hours, it’s overwhelming!

I’m conversing now with a kindergarten teacher, he’s 40 and handsome. Wish me luck!

Update: ANOTHER conversation that went no where. I don’t understand why these apps/connections just aren’t working for me. There’s two speed dating events coming up within the next two weeks. Since a man won’t just appear at my doorstep, I have to launch my bait out there.

No matter how many apps I’ve downloaded, the cream of the CROP apps are Bumble and Hinge. And that’s on periodt!

One of my gripes with online apps: men who either don’t k is how to take a good pic, group pics are your profile or pics with women. One guy posted pics of him and a woman who’s face was scribbled out and I’m like...my man, you couldn’t post another pic WITHOUT a woman in it?!

So I matched with a Nigerian man on Bumble and the conversation isn’t keeping me interested. It’s only been TWO DAYS! What’s wrong with me?!

Since I’m in day 2 of quarantine, I’ve added the BLK app back into rotation and *gasp* Facebook dating. All of this is literally the ghetto!

This dating profile on Facebook has me CTFU!

So I deleted my Facebook dating profile because it’s absolutely horrid!

Chatting with a guy that super liked me on the BLK app and he’s already being corny by calling me a gangsta after I told him I was born and raised in South Philly.

Update: he proceeded to insult me, saying go natural after I mentioned beauty supply stores, salons and nail shops being closed. I told him I’ve been wearing chemical free hair, 10 years in May and that his comment was insensitive. He didn’t apologize so I blocked him

I haven’t matched with a decent guy frfr YET. I’m trying to FaceTime date with somebody’s son!

I downloaded two more apps: Zoosk and Clover and re-activated Match dot com. Doing a 7-day free trial for Clover and every time I try to few the subscriptions for Zoosk, the app keeps crashing.

Update: it went no where.
I subscribed for one month on BLK and men have liked me living 100+ miles away and men as young as 21. Leave me tf alone Junior!

I will convert this thread to my blog and provide an update if I match with someone and it actually goes somewhere. There’s no point in me keeping mentioning the lack of reciprocity via conversation. We’re all home, I might as well make the best of it
