The most important thing you’re about to hear: STAY TRUE TO YOURSELF AND BE YOURSELF. If you want to thrive as a business by pretending to be someone you’re not, you’ll attract the wrong crowd & your true colors (which probably aren’t even bad) will show eventually. Be yourself
DONT JUST MAKE WHAT SELLS. This is not it!!!! Not cute!!! Sometimes what you make just happens to sell, and that’s awesome! But don’t get into something just bc you want sales. Do it bc you genuinely enjoy what you’re doing.
Be creative. You can make something that someone already has, but put your own love and work into it. If you can’t seem to do that, that’s an indication that maybe you should take time to think of ideas on your own. If your work looks like everyone else’s, you won’t thrive.
Ask yourself “would I have made this if I didn’t see ___ make that first?” If the answer is no, tag your inspiration. It’s OK to have inspos, we all do.
I buy my stones for wire wrapping from local shops, Etsy, and my own personal suppliers. I don’t give further info on it bc I’m not obligated to and that should be respected. You can get wire from rio grande or any craft store most likely
If you’re interested in starting a business on social media, please keep in mind: DO NOT ABUSE YOUR PLATFORM. Do not bring drama publicly. Handle your issues privately. I’ve made mistakes by doing that before, I recommend don’t.
Basically long story short, be yourself, tag your inspos, research different brands for materials see what works best for you, and things take time. Don’t feel discouraged & give up when you don’t make a sale.
