It’s the time of year where people are asking about Christian seders. Don’t. They are supersessionist, appropriationist, and historically inaccurate. Jesus didn’t have a seder, Christianity is not Judaism, please respect us and our traditions. https://www.washingtonpost.com/outlook/five-myths/five-myths-about-passover/2018/03/28/15a059d8-320b-11e8-94fa-32d48460b955_story.html
Yes, it is different to attend a seder hosted by a Jew. (Want to go to a seder? Have authentic relationships with Jews all year such that you’d get an invite). Yes, an “interfaith” seder run by a rabbi but where a local Christian community is invited as guests is different, too.
If a person tweets a statement, and they include a link, do not question the statement until you have read the information at the link. Generally speaking you will find receipts there.

Given the state of my mentions, guess I need to remind folks:

Judaism as it exists now is the product of 2000 of years of post-Temple evolution, most of which took place not in Christian lands, & when we were in Christian space it was mostly abt intense anti-Jewish oppression.
The "religion of Jesus" was centered around the Temple, which is no more, and Paul made it pretty clear that Christians weren't going to observe mitzvot. Remember? No "religion of Jesus," no circumcision, all that.

Judaism is an independent, separate religion.
And yes, I'll say it again for those of you who can't be bothered to click on the link that I provided up top:
The Last Supper Was Not A Passover Seder. Did they eat the paschal sacrifice? Maybe? We don't do that anymore. The seder is almost decidedly a post-Temple innovation.
And here is a thread on how the last 2000 years have gone for us. Basically most of the major Jewish developments didn't happen in Christian space. That often didn't work so great for us because you were busy scapegoating us. https://twitter.com/TheRaDR/status/1089589999920660484
And when I hear "Christians" and "Jews" and "Easter" I hear blood libels, antisemitic Passion plays, pogroms, getting blamed for the Crucifixion, etc.

Please, when we ask you to lay off our stuff, please just respect it.
There are a lot of gorgeous, powerful, impactful rituals and symbols in Christianity. Why not use them?

Please let us just engage our in peace and stop trying to take more stuff that doesn't belong to you.
(That, by the way, is also step one to being the kind of person that we might actually invite into our homes to take part in seder with us. Just saying.)
