george harrison, when asked about the monkees replied; “it’s obvious what’s happening - there’s talents there... when they get it all sorted out, they might turn out to be the best!”

on february 10, 1967, peter, mike and micky visited the beatles at abbey road while the beatles were working on “a day in the life”.

the beatles also hung out with peter and micky in LA when they’d visit. The Byrds were part of that mix as well.

In 1995, Ringo Starr even did this tounge in cheek commercial with The Monkees for Pizza Hut where he proclaims The Monkees are, “The Wrong Lads”…
