I've been on Twitter for about a month now, it has its highs and lows but the one reiterating issue I have seen throughout my time is one I would like to address in this thread. I am hoping you can take time out to read it and let me know your views.

Trolling and Bullying. I've spoken to a lot of people that have told me about their experiences with bullies and some have deactivated since. I find it upsetting and demoralising. I get we're all passionate about our views and love a good debate, but why take it too far?

Some people go out of their way to just make someone's life a misery. For some people, their life isn't great and Twitter is a way for them to express themselves without feeling judged. They can just let loose, but how can they if there are underlying trolls and bullies?

Obviously it's just a minority of people, but I feel we need to try stop this, because after all, I think we can all agree we want Twitter to be a great and safe social media platform, right?
Who likes to be associated with negative connotations?

I know I can't work miracles and this thread won't solve all cyber bullying but I want to make it clear that there are lots of people on here that want the same as me, and that's a bully-free, platform where anyone can log onto and have a good time and not feel scared.

If you too, like myself, want to try minimise bullies, trolls and other people that just release bad energy onto this platform, then we can do this together. I want to try spread awareness that there are plenty of people against it and that it is not okay!

If you agree, and like this thread, then give it a like. Want to try help spread awareness? RT it. You never know, if by your RT, if one of your followers is a troll, reads this and sees the light, was it worth your five seconds? I'd say so.

Finally, I'd like to say I hope we can see a slight change in the number of accounts that just die out because of bullying. Even if it isn't by much, at least we can say we tried, right?
